ISA SAMAD DELIVERS THE VICTORY IN SMILE, STYLE AND NUMBERS

Tan Sri Isa Hj Abdul Samad won the Bagan Pinang state assembly election as expected by many. And he didn’t need to throw punches because Isa Samad is a familiar face and figure in Bagan Pinang who people loved to have as their representative.

It is said that Isa went to one of this opposition’s supposedly stronghold, stood up and asked the people there why can’t or won’t they chose him as their reps. “I would try my very best to do everything I could (in my power) if I am elected. That i can promise you. But if you want me to be 10 inches taller, that I simply can’t help it. God has made me what I am now. There is simply no way around it”. To this, the crowd replied with laughter and smiles. Isa then added, “as you all know, my wife passes away 3 years ago. I am alone now. So I have ample and lots of time to contribute and do goods for you, the people”. And with smiles and few tears seen among the crowds, no one can deny that what Isa said is absolutely right and spot on.

A legend’s to some. A friend’s to many. Tan Sri Isa Samad is the right choice for the people as he is the people who has been with the people and do lot of things for the people. He may had flaws in the past, now and then but tell me who doesn’t?

The ‘little Heavyweight’ as he is known among friends did it for his beloved party BN (Barisan Nasional) not just in style but more importantly in numbers. He garnered 8013 votes against Zulkefly Mohamad from PAS who managed to get 2578 votes. As the numbers of voters (and the percentages) who turned up to cast their votes were the same as the previous election, what happened then was somewhat unbelievable to the eyes and thought of the many Pakatan Rakyat experts. Not just Isa managed to gain the biggest of majority surpassing even the 2004 election (2004/4411 majority and 2009/2333 majority) but also managed to win all the 4 Indian dominated areas that (as predicted by Pakatan Rakyat) they, the Pakatan Rakyat, would had it for free.

Pakatan Rakyat experts such as member of Parliament, Khalid Samad, who believes that the 20% Indians in Bagan Pinang would vote for the opposition as payback to what happened on 30th August 2009 where 50 protestors marched from the state mosque in Shah Alam to the State Secretariat with a severed cow head to protest the relocation of the 150-year-old Hindu temple from Section 19 in Selangor; now has to reconsider his thinking and analysis and what to put next back into his mouth as he now has to eat his own words. If there is anyone for the Indians to blame for that 30th August fiasco, it can only be the Selangor State Government and Pakatan Rakyat. Why put blame on someone else?

There is no magic. Not even a miracle happened there in Bagan Pinang. It is just that people are no longer stupid to know what value and matter most to them. The people in Bagan Pinang and Malaysia (I may say) are tired of the same old stories, ideologies and dirty tactics preludes and stuffed into their heads by the Pakatan Rakyat. Stories, talks and shits won’t feed the people’s mouth. Won’t be paying their bills. And certainly won’t be promising any ‘syurga’ (heaven) yet. And what in the name of god has the ‘30th August Shah Alam’ incident and the ‘S.Kugan’s case’ story-telling got anything to do with the welfare and wellbeing of the people in Bagan Pinang..? Yet these were the main issues brought up by the Pakatan Rakyat in Bagan Pinang thinking that Malaysians are still naïve and hungry for sensational rather than rational. How would and could the Bagan Pinang’s people (and us for this matter) trust such leaders and party if the concerns are more for their political ambitions rather than the needs of the people.?

YB RADZI AND CO QUITTING PKR WITH A 3 IN 1 INSTANT CRISIS AS FAREWELL GIFT

It may sounds nothing to those who would like to think it as just another small storm in the cup waiting to be gulped into the ever-growing bellies of the unspeakable, untold and undeniable truths on the disintegration within the PAKATAN (Pakatan Rakyat) hence taking it for granted. BUT the resignation of ADUN Lunas, YB Mohd Radzi Salleh from his, used to be admired and loyal to party, the PKR (Parti KeAdilan Rakyat); is a sign of other bigger, brewer and worst things to come.

YB Mohd Radzi yesterday made a statement in a press conference joined by his Padang Serai’s PKR Division Leaders and others, confirming his resignation from all post he currently held within the party and quitting the party too of course. But he decided to stay on as the State of Kedah’s Exco in charge of Tourism, Community Development and Human Resource as the post is under the appointment and approval of the DYMM Sultan of Kedah. Wisely, only the Sultan of Kedah has the right to expel him.

Not done by that, PKR received yet another blow when Acting PKR Padang Serai Division Head, En. Jamaludin Abu Hassan, also announced his resignation from the party and the dissolution of PKR Padang Serai Division ( which has been decided earlier at a Special Division meeting and agreed to by the attended committee members ). He also noted out that the dissolution has been endorsed, accepted and decided upon by members of the Division triggering the automatic departure of 200 hardcore party supporters from the party.

Both YB Radzi and Jamaludin cited the lost of trust towards the party as the main reason. To them, perhaps PKR has deviated too long and too far from its originated course and playing not to what ‘a party for the people’ should be. The party is instead plying its political trades to what suited the needs and personal agendas of the few or perhaps of that ‘SPECIAL ONE’ person only.

While the medias were getting excited in thoughts and scribbles, Jamaludin presented another killer blow that will knock out many in surprise. He said that he has with him the proof of that N. Gobalakrishnan (PKR’s MP for Padang Serai) was instructed or recommended by ‘the ONE’ to instigate or create a scene during the nomination day of candidates for the re-election of Permatang Pasir State Assembly seat recently. He added that he had everything in audio video record but decline to elaborate further saying that everything will be out soon in the shape of CDs. And the CDs will speak for themselves.

This ‘soon to be released’ CD single is definitely going to be a hit and something of a best selling and most sought item not just by the Rakyats and PKR supporters who started to have doubt about the party and its leaders, but the Police too.

The resignation of YB Radzi as ADUN of Lunas. The dissolution of PKR’s Padang Serai Division. And the ‘soon to be revealed’ hidden agenda of N.Gobalakrishnan recent commotion at Permatang Pasir are 3 important happenings that had happened in a matter of 1 very serious press conferencing day, that will no doubt affect the current political situation and understanding within the Pakatan components. But more important, those 3 developments will chart a new perception of the Rakyats toward Pakatan especially PKR. Being a new and still fragile political bonding, the Pakatan can’t afford to have this kind of ‘Karma’ (a re-run of spates of events that took place in Perak) to take shape. What more when 3 subsequent things happened in just 1 day. That is simply too much of a 3 in 1 thing. And again, it is the PKR who was in the limelight, stealing all the shows away from DAP and PAS, but for all the very wrong reasons.

It’s a pack of 3 in 1 instant coffee, as far as the Rakyats are concern. You get a combination of the sweetness of sugar, the bitterness of coffee and the blend of pure white cream to light all up. It’s a story fits for a novel and screen drama. And who wouldn’t want another edition of that, soon. Just like having another cup of coffee for free. Well, put ice if you want to.

But to PKR and ‘the SPECIAL ONE’ Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim; this 3 in 1 instant pack of ‘political punches made in Lunas’, can ONLY taste one thing. And that is one heck of such an awful and ‘hard to swallow’ taste.

UMNO POSTPONE ITS GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO MARCH NEXT YEAR

In a sudden but somewhat expected event of circumstances, the highest decision making body of the political party UMNO, has decided to postpone their General and Election assembly which was scheduled for December this year to March next year.

The decision was made earlier today in a special convening of UMNO Supreme Council meeting which according to a source, was to discuss the only and most priority and concerning subject of ‘Power Transition’ for the presidency post of UMNO. Although none of the crude details about the meeting were made public, it is believed the deliberations within the meeting were mostly about Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak taking over of UMNO and the process to strengthen and unite all sides in UMNO during that concerning period.

To some prominent UMNO supreme members and the most vocal in against the 2010 transitions, the postponement of the UMNO assembly to March next year, is a victory not just for a personal political principle and power, but more so for UMNO in re-branding era after the Barisan Nasional (BN) poorest showing in the 12^th General Election. Their constant insertion and persuasion have made UMNO more liberate in the eyes of many and made history of sorts too.

Many may have believed that this is the end to all speculations and the accrued dateline of March 2009 is just a mere process of getting Najib into place and to allow Pak Lah ( PM Abdullah ) to stamp the usual respected and dignified practise of handing over the baton with a smile. But the truth is, much still depend on this upcoming unchanged event of UMNO Divisional meeting between October 9 and November 9.

They are too many perspectives and views now at the grassroots level since this latest announcement by Pak Lah and UMNO Supreme Council. There are many that don’t quite understand the logic behinds the postponement of the General Assembly. Some of them even argue the sensibility of promoting unity for UMNO when the longer the period of getting the Election or Assembly done, the bigger the speculations and games would surround them.

Transition or not, 2010 or not, UMNO grassroots leaders want affirmation and confirmation. They want to know whether Pak Lah is going to hand over to Najib or not. And they want to know when. These two subjects would put their questions over the postponement date of UMNO General Assembly, to rest. And subsequently, bring the much needed unity back into UMNO.

The postponement of UMNO General Assembly is a landmark and beginning to something that should already end long ago. It’s a signal of something is about to come that has to do with Pak Lah and his deputy Najib. It’s a welcoming step to those who understand the play that coy behind the curtain before it fall when the show starts. But it’s a show that will yet again change if the audiences (UMNO 191 Divisions) decide to stick to the old script and watch the old broadways instead.

According to a source, an announcement will be made by Pak Lah in near time but not later than November 9. And this has to be none other than the issue of Power Transition. But the whole thing is without doubt, is in the hand of Pak Lah. Not one power within the UMNO Supreme Council can take away the mandate given to an elected UMNO President. They can suggest and talk as much as they want to the boss, but to get to the grill, they still have to purchase meat at the election mart which is the UMNO General Assembly.

The postponement is a clear fact that something big is on its way before March 2009 and the indication is due to come from the man himself before November 9.

ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI POWER TRANSITION THAT MAY NOT HOLD THE POWER TO LAST IT LONG

After weeks of sabbatical leave;

Malaysia

political atmosphere, landscape and games are still very much the same since my last writing. Although none is bigger then the Anwar Ibrahim and his so-called prelude and pre-attempt , big-talked saga of a then, failed taking over of the government; the current political and power citations and intimidations within the largest political party in Malaysia, UMNO; is the hottest talk and most eagerly awaited outcome behold and beneath the thoughts of almost all Malaysians. And it is none other than the revisiting of the subject ‘power transition’ that had been agreed upon earlier between the ‘numero uno’ not so-beloved Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy Najib Tun Razak. The decision which now has been challenged by all sorts of reasons by members of UMNO highest ranked decision making committee, which is the Majlis Tertinggi or UMNO Supreme Council.

The transition idea which had been formulated by both Abdullah and Najib ages ago, now seems to be made just days earlier and such is very much subjected to some scrutinise and changes.

While Anwar Ibrahim and his broking of lies may had played a role in getting Abdullah again on to the hot pan, the sentiment and indirect cynical jesters made by some of the ruling Barisan Nasional’s component members, Tun Mahathir’s constants disgust of Abdullah persona and administration, the urgent needs by many Malays individuals and Organizations for a better and capable leader to lead Malaysia and the economic fundamental standing of Malaysia which kept Malaysians guessing and foreigners running, were some of the biggest factor in keeping the pan burning, too.

But the turning point or point of no return for some of the voiced dissatisfaction over the ‘UMNO transition plan’ came in after the sudden volcanic aftermath of uncensored and unstoppable crystal clear statement made by the now seemingly guardian of UMNO, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. It was then widely reported that some key and prominent UMNO supreme council members had requested for the transition to be transited as soon as possible; begging, urging and rationalising Abdullah with reasons ranging from the despair Anwar Ibrahim, BN’s unity, UMNO solidarity to even the upcoming 13^th National Election. And for every reason the reply given by Abdullah was still the same. And for whatever the purpose and power of a Majlis Tertinggi or a Supreme Council before and thereafter, to enact such a reasonable proposal in such a desperate and needed time, looks anything but happening and most probably would better be done through other means and channels.

But the means are only there if Najib is to say YES. While it took Tun Mahathir to start the ball rolling and Muhyiddin and his Johoreans cronies to flush it to the public and to 3.2 mils UMNO members; the key is without doubt, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak. But only if he is brave enough to say YES.

To undo the already agreed ‘Transition of power’ is now left to the only available and rightly channel, which is the upcoming UMNO general election. And sensing the same, Abdullah now is hurrying himself catching up to some state’s division leaders. He has been making himself ‘the people president’ once again with recent visits and opening fasts in Perak and Selangor. And more is sure to come.

One thing for sure, the games played over this transition issue by Abdullah, Najib, some very strong and key UMNO highest ranking members, and political accomplishes or brokers; are more than what meet the eyes. Meetings and brokering are happening at almost every corner and turn each day.

The chances are, coming this UMNO Election; Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will still be the president of UMNO and Prime Minister of Malaysia. But most probably the transition will happen earlier than the propose 2010 after all.

ANWAR IBRAHIM AND HIS TALES OF PRECIOUS DNA THAT KEEP ON CHANGING BOTH THEIR COLORS

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) SHOULD AND COULD NOT be the issue in this latest twist involving THE POLICE and DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM.

It is not a matter of fabricating the evidence, which then can easily BE CHALLENGED in court and be asked for RE-EXAMINATION AND RE-TESTING at a neutral lab under the supervision of neutral experts. It is not a matter of planting an evidence either, as the whole process from the taking of a sample up to the production of a DNA PROFILE, which took as little as 5 hours (depending), can be monitored and even executed by neutral parties or experts. What more when Anwar Ibrahim can even have his own representative to guard or monitor the whole profiling thing to be sure that none of the given samples be taken away for other use. So what is the excuse NOT TO then?

The issue is more than what meets the eye.

This is what reported of Anwar Ibrahim saying in a press conference on July 1, 2008:

He called on the police not to spring a surprise arrest, adding his lawyers had written three letters to the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney-General indicating his willingness to co-operate in the investigation.

“They did not reply until today. TAKE MY DNA, TAKE MY HAIR ... my hair is everywhere, except this part,” said Anwar as he smiled and patted the middle part of his scalp.

And this is what Anwar Ibrahim said next after he was released prior to him not giving his DNA for investigations.

“I have my reasons, based on the advice of my lawyers and local and foreign DNA experts. My DNA sample is already with the police. Secondly, the accuser is in police custody. Anything can happen. Why the need for DNA from me?

This is then asked of his lawyer R. Sivarasa regarding foreign and neutral DNA expert’s assistance to help Anwar Ibrahim establishing the truth in which R. Sivarasa was reported saying:

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim WILL NOT AGREE to the idea of a FOREIGN FORENSIC EXPERT OF HIS CHOICE to draw a DNA sample from him, said lawyer R. Sivarasa.

“They (the police) fail to understand Anwar’s concern as explained this afternoon. It does not address the possible fabrication of DNA (test results) starting with Saiful (Bukhari Azlan) himself,”

To a question whether Anwar and his lawyers would consider allowing the international expert to carry out the DNA test, he said they could “start to look at that” as the expert might be able to advise them.

However, he said this would not make a difference if there was a possibility that the samples would be tampered with.

He said they would RESIST ANY LEGAL ACTION for Anwar to provide a DNA sample because the law does not provide for it.

Then came the last straw set by Anwar Ibrahim in order for him to give his sample for DNA testing. As reported:

At his press conference earlier, Anwar had said that if there was “compelling evidence one, two, three and four which needs an international expert,” then he would be willing to submit to DNA testing.

Meaning, UNLESS the police has one, two, three, four or more evidence which then will be attended and verified by only international (foreign experts); he won’t be submitting any sample for DNA testing even for the CAUSE TO ESTABLISH HIS INNOCENCE.

Anwar Ibrahim said YES then NO then YES then NO then YES with conditions but then a NO UNLESS. So how can we expect to believe Anwar Ibrahim anymore?

He does not trust the police, the lab and the system. He trusts only advice given by foreign experts. The authority then suggested him to have his experts to monitor the sampling process. He bombarded the idea suggesting it as not enough a courtesy. The authority then suggested him to have his choice of foreign DNA experts to co-work with the whole DNA profiling process. He mocked the idea saying it wasn’t good enough as evidence can still be fabricated. So what on earth is the way befits him that he wants? Why and what with all the excuses and reasons and escapes? Why is he not eagerly wanting and seeking the truth and get this whole sodomy thing done once and for all? It only takes 5 hours to get a DNA profile done? What so frustrating about that? 5 hours under the eyes, microscope and hands of his own trusted and chosen DNA technicians and experts who will make sure that none of the given samples be taken away for other use. So what the issue does fabrication of evidence is and has now then? None at all. So why keep on giving excuse after excuse? Shocking, surprising, confusing yet so amusing.

DNA IS NOT THE PROBLEM so too the police and the foreign experts. THE PROBLEM IS ANWAR IBRAHIM.

As ODD AND TWISTED as the DNA may looks like, Anwar Ibrahim ringing excuses are FAR TOO TWISTED to believe that such molecules still very much alive and exist in a man’s body.

ANWAR IBRAHIM MAY ACT LIKE A HERO BUT THE QUESTIONS OF WHY PROVE HIM BEING THE VILLAIN

The QUESTION is not WHY ANWAR wasn’t given the benefit of the agreed Wednesday 2 pm extended schedule before he was apprehended, but rather, WHY ANWAR DEFIED an earlier police order requesting him to be present on MONDAY? Why Anwar not doing so the DAY AFTER? And why Anwar CHOSE TO give priority and attended to Anti Coruption Agency’s hearing instead of adhering and obeying to the urgency of an ARREST WARRANT on behalf of the police for him to facilitate the sodomy case involving him? WHY ANWAR?

He snubbed and mocked the authority of the police by staying at home instead of attending to police request for him to make himself available on Monday. He then cited police discourtesy as the main reason for HIS PAYBACK in not adhering to the Monday request. WHY ANWAR?

So much for his proclaimed ‘WILLINGNESS’ and yet he made NO such effort at all to either contact the police or to attend to the police on TUESDAY. WHY? 24 ABSOLUTE FREE HOURS for him to make thing easier for both him and the police, if ONLY he chooses to stay true to his word and intention of ‘willingness’. Instead he did nothing. He knew the police could not come banging his door down without a proper court order which is the arrest warrant. Hence, to say Anwar Ibrahim and his team of 7 legal expertises know nothing about this and what’s coming is an absolute lie and ignorance. WHY ANWAR?

On WEDNESDAY, police made known to Anwar Ibrahim, his representatives and all Malaysians, that an arrest warrant has been issued out on Anwar and the police will use the power and regulations given to, if the need arises, apprehends Anwar Ibrahim. And to have an arrest warrant issued out against you is no child’s play and kidding. The seriousness in one would have had any sensible Malaysian losing sleep and eating appetite worrying about it. But NOT our dearest Anwar Ibrahim. He chose the ‘on need and free basis’ appointment with the ACA instead of obeying the arrest warrant. An ACA’s appointment which he could have easily postponed without anyone blaming him for. WHY ANWAR?

He made a promise earlier with the police to straight away go to Kuala Lumpur police headquarters after the ACA’s session. But yet again, he did not. He DIVERTED his route towards his house in Segambut Dalam. With yet another melodramatic reasons, this time of lunch and dresses. WHY ANWAR?

Anwar Ibrahim has been requested, invited, served and entertained up to the nose. He has been given treatments which none other Malaysian would have throughout their entire lifetime dealing with the police. He has been defying not one but many rightly requests and laws and acted himself above even the Sultan and all Malaysians. WHY ANWAR? Yet we still do not want to see and believe what the real Anwar Ibrahim looks like.

“No one is above the law”. I and you and hundreds Non-Government Organizations (NGO) have made that one statement as our course of promotion, mission worth action and basis principle to civilization. And if the laws require you to adhere, obey and act to one and as long it is within its guiding perimeters; then we should all be a sensible civilized Malaysian and respect the wishes of Malaysians and the land Malaysia. And that includes the Sultan Anwar bin Ibrahim.

ANWAR IBRAHIM NOT GIVING HIS DNA FOR FREE WITHOUT HAVING ANOTHER TWIST INTO THE MIDST

It is so CLEAR NOW on what BRAND OF JUSTICE AND TRUTH is Anwar Ibrahim promoting when comes to this case of sodomy involving him. Sadly, it wasn’t the one we have much expected from a man who claimed to be fighting for justice and upholding the truth.

In this latest episode of Anwar not giving his cooperation and permission to the police for his DNA to be taken to FACILITATE THE INVESTIGATIONS in which he is, as the accused, so much involved in; is not just a show of one Malaysian man who defied the laws and extended courtesies given to him, but more so, an act of a man who tried to NOT exposing the truth about the case and to MANIPULATE publicity into a platform to further propagates his innocence by claiming politics as the motivation for his arrests and alleged sodomy charges. When a better and sensible tool in DNA TESTING would have fast given his claimed innocence and so-called conspiracies much truth and credibility; HE CHOSE NOT TO. WHY?. But that defying stand will be put to rest for good when the police is expected to obtain a REMAND ORDER (tomorrow) from court of law which then entitled them to fully prosecute all standard and required investigation procedures on Anwar Ibrahim, including for his DNA to be taken. Hence, Anwar Ibrahim will be, at least tonight, spending his time under police custody.

MALAYSIANS WANT THE TRUTH especially in a case as highly immoral as sodomy and as highly controversial involving one very prominent politician as Anwar Ibrahim. And that can only be known through due, diligent and accorded processes of investigations which in this Anwar’s case, will depend much on his DNA proof. The NO by Anwar could only add to the belief by many that he is either ESCAPING the truth or PLANNING a truth. Whichever way, it does not look good for both Anwar Ibrahim’s personalities and coming strategies.

ANWAR IBRAHIM ARRESTED AFTER SO MUCH IN DIVERTED AND IN LIBERTY

DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM HAS BEEN ARRESTED earlier today in the vicinity of his house in Segambut after returning from a scheduled trip to Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) in Putrajaya but not before HE DIVERTED from his commitment to straight away go to Kuala Lumpur Police Headquarters, as planned.

The arrest was made by Bukit Aman’s Serious Crime Division and not by the more aggressive and specially tasked Special Action Force or UTK although the personnel were seen clad in UTK’s common kind of ‘Balaclava’ dressing. The arrest was the follow-up to the ARREST WARRANT issued out on Anwar for his failures to attend to police investigations of a SODOMY report made by one, Saiful Bukhari Azlan on June 28 against him. Anwar had been informed in a notice given by the police, for a compulsory attendance scheduled last Monday which he then failed to turn up and, according to the police, without any prior excuse given. But Anwar’s lawyer Sankara Nair rebutted the claim saying he had faxed a written excuse on behalf of Anwar Ibrahim to both the police and Minister in the Home Ministry.

According to Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Farid Wan Salleh, Anwar Ibrahim was supposed to have gone straight to the police headquarters here in Kuala Lumpur after his interview at the Anti Corruption Agency in Putrajaya. Instead, he added, Anwar was on his way home and that was a clear possibility that he (Anwar) couldn’t and wouldn’t have made it to the police headquarters. Hence, the police had no option other than to execute the arrest warrant and arrested him.

Many observers believe Anwar Ibrahim has NO real intentions of going to the Police even with the warrant issued against him. He purposely wanted the police to come and gets him so that he can channel the situation into blackmailing Malaysians for sympathy. He wants to resurrect the memories of the year 1998 when he was arrested under the same offence into the mind of Malaysians. Although the arrest this time around came under different momentum and virtue, and Anwar Ibrahim has NOT YET BEEN FORMALLY CHARGED under sodomy; the re-enactment of him being arrested by the same forces and politics 10 years ago, would have many Malaysians fell into further malicious and sinister games of speculations. And this is the kind of diversion and capital needed by Anwar Ibrahim to spell off the public from the truth and to stand by him under the pretext of injustice and conspiracies done in order to prevent him from achieving his so-called destiny of becoming the next PRIME MINISTER of Malaysia.

While Anwar Ibrahim and his entourage of lawyers and political allies have been showering Malaysians with tapes and tales of conspiracies in regard to this latest claim of him sodomizing a former aide; other CONCERNING QUARTERS have been very vocal in voicing their dissatisfaction over the SPECIAL TREATMENTS given to Anwar Ibrahim by the police. While common Malaysian will definitely be apprehended by the police in a matter of minutes; Anwar Ibrahim, on the other hand, had been given days and was so much on his own sweet time, liberties and arrangements; with the police doing absolutely NOTHING. The police has accommodated and done many things for Anwar Ibrahim that and which other Malaysians can only dream off. And these sorts of things did not go down well with many Malaysians. Many of them are questioning the police as to why the special treatments and why the selective attitudes over Anwar Ibrahim. Is Anwar Ibrahim not a Malaysian like the rest of the 27 mil souls that inhabit the country?

Hence, the arrest was seen coming. The arrest itself has nothing to do with politics. It was the right and suppose thing to do by the police not just on Anwar Ibrahim but any Malaysian too, once an arrest warrant has been issued out. There should not be any double standard in approach in this matter upon any Malaysian.

Many have been writing about injustice on Anwar Ibrahim FORGETTING the fact that the one who has been MUCH DERAILED from proper justice by the public and to some extents, the authority too; is the victim in this sodomy case, SAIFUL AZLAN BUKHARI.

Politically motivated or not, the only fact that should be taken and judge upon is the one that involves the accused and the victim in a ‘proved or otherwise’ game whereby the victim has to prove that the accused had done such thing. And that needs no Einstein to waste the brain with any conspiracy theory. It’s a plain and simple YES or NO case.

PAS Spiritual Leader (Mursyidul Am PAS) TUAN GURU NIK AZIZ NIK MAT called upon both DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM AND SAIFUL BUKHARI AZLAN TO SWEAR UPON THE HOLY QURAN as the last and rightly resort as both involved are Moslem. He also advised those who have the proofs, to furnish them in the COURT OF LAW and stop making open accusations which will worsen the current scenario. It is seen APPARENTLY, that the latter comments by Tuan Guru Nik Aziz were made to Anwar Ibrahim and his supporters whom have been hurling and flashing all sorts of unneeded accusations but yet to come up with any doubtless materials THAT MAY either support their extended accusations OR helps Anwar in establishing his defence.

Tuan Guru Nik Aziz made the call after Mufti of Perlis, DR MOHD ASRI ZAINUL ABIDIN suggested the idea for the issue of the sodomy to be settled as accorded under the religion of Islam.

Mohd Asri made the statement through a media yesterday, in view of the current ACCUSING AND DENYING syndrome that have been hard hitting the thoughts of many Malaysian Moslems, pointing out to the current on going sodomy case involving Anwar Ibrahim and Saiful Bukhari; which will have such a tremendous downside impact on not just the persons involved, but Malaysia as an Islamic country too.

Although, the calling by Tuan Guru Nik Aziz for both Anwar and Saiful to swear upon the Holy Quran, may not implicate anything other than a tool to help dispersing the anxieties and restlessness among Moslems; the TIMING and the BREATHE shown by the 77 years old Tuan Guru may suggest that he HAD ENOUGH. And that he has BEEN SATISFIED of something, to at last promoting the use of the Holy Quran.

FOR Tuan Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin (both whom are highly respected religious people not just to Malaysian Moslems but to the non-Moslems as well) TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER with this latest call for the use of the Holy Quran, is looking SO MUCH LIKE SUGGESTING to all Malaysian especially Moslems, TO BE CALMED, RATIONAL and TO HAVE FAITH while professing true to the belief that AS HUMAN, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. And perhaps too, JUSTICE has been done to its utmost sources and potentials. And the TRUTH is all about to come in the open, SOON. As IF, the god-servants given the trusts and mandates have finally performed and done their given tasks rightly and accordingly. I am so much in agreement with the calls made by both the Spiritual leader and the Islamic Scholar. A RELIABLE SOURCE HAS INFORMED me that PAS Spiritual Leader and Kelantan MB, TUAN GURU NIK AZIZ NIK MAT was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday on the INVITATION by the investigation Authorities in Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim ALLEGED SODOMY CASE. WHY?

I shall, however, DISCLOSE NOTHING about the invitation of Tuan Guru Nik Aziz and what transpires until this piece of information is CONFIRMED AND VERIFIED. IF, it did happens.

Just as I did an article touching on the matter pertaining to the current health of this particular legal instrument called STATUTORY DECLARATION yesterday; it has now becoming a real malaria kind of disease and TURNING the whole legal aspect of integrity of the said instrument and its system or act in place in Malaysia, into SHAMEFUL SHAMELESS JOKES.

The makers or subscribers to the Statutory Declaration, the so-called advising lawyers (legal practitioners) and the politicians cum enforcers, and too does the one who simply stamped and signed the Statutory Declaration for the sake of ensuring any HEARSAY made possible for a mere price of $5.00; are to be blamed for this NEW CIRCUS IN TOWN. They have no absolute shame in making mockery out of what supposed to be a sacred, trusted and respected legal tendering document. They recklessly used every loopholes found in Malaysia’s regulated systems of one particular instrument, to the best joy and thrill they could ever had. These irresponsible few POLITICAL ACTORS, have had no respect for millions suffering Malaysians whom they dragged into by holding the very essence of MALAYSIA LAW AND ORDER and more importantly TRUST, in the circus act of hanging those, upside down. These HERRINGS and PREDATORS portrayed themselves as ANGELS and CRUSADERS to cloud our fragile judgments and senses, into believing something which is actually nothing to begin with. At the end of the ‘not the brightest’ day, they ‘the brightest of all’ would (most probably) got themselves well and handsomely paid with dollars and cents, while we kept on adding suffering into our already suffered livelihoods.

YESTERDAY, a person by the name Balsubramaniam a/l Perumal made a Statutory Declaration in the presence of the Crusaders Brigade which consisted of Malaysia Head of Opposition Force, DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM, Anwar’s ‘knows about everything’ lawyer R. SIVARA, Balasubramaniam’s lawyer AMERICK SINGH SIDHU and a barrage of local and foreign journalist.

TODAY, less than 24 hours later, the same person (Balsubramaniam a/l Perumal) who made the solemnly declared Statutory Declaration yesterday, put every and each one Malaysian in NAKED AND DISBELIEF while banging their heads against the wall; WHEN HE, Balsubramaniam a/l Perumal, made a SUDDEN RETRACTS of part of his given Statutory Declaration under the pretext (or excuse) that he was BEEN FORCED and/or BEEN UNDER DURESS to come out with the earlier declared Statutory Declaration.

Has he been forced to come out with the earlier Statutory Declaration, mindless the contents which were much of a hearsay or been informed by things, rather than facts? On what ground did one has the capability to force him to do so? Didn’t he has any concern of what repercussion and consequences may be fallen onto him and millions other Malaysians? Why the sudden retracts then?

The on-going obsessive and abusive usage of Statutory Declaration as a tool to promote malicious intents (and maybe lies) and by ways of integrating HEARSAY as the core legalised part in such a Statutory Declaration; has made Malaysia into laughing stock, not just among Malaysian but sadly too, to the visiting and concerning foreigners.

The accusers, subscribers, politicians and lawyers involved should stop and ponder on the whole shenanigans for a while. What benefit does it bring to the already tainted legal and judiciary acumens and systems we had? And what pain-stopping remedy does it has to heal the current suffering of the 27mils Malaysians, which is getting worst by day? IF NONE, then we Malaysians simply have to just stop buying all these cheap stunts and acting, ONCE AND FOR ALL. Or else, we shall all be gullible no less than we have been before.

And thanks to Balasubramaniam, he has proven it to be so SADLY but unbelievably TRUE.

1. I have been a police officer with the Royal Malaysian Police Force having joined as a constable in 1981. I was subsequently promoted to the rank of lance corporal and finally resigned from the Royal Malaysian Police Force in 1998.

2. I currently work as a freelance private investigator.

3. I wish to refer to the statutory declaration I affirmed on July 1, 2008. I refer specifically to paragraphs 8, 25, 28, 49 and 50 to 52, wherein I have stated inter-alia that:

a) Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was introduced to Altantuya Shaariibuu by a VIP;

b) Najib Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Altantuya Shaariibuu and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse;

c) Najib Razak instructed Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Altantuya Shaariibuu as he did not want her to harass him since he was the deputy prime minister;

d) Najib Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Altantuya Shaariibuu had met and all been together at a dinner in Paris;

e) Altantuya Shaariibuu wanted money in the sum of US$500,000 as a commission for a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris;

f) Altantuya Shaariibuu met Najib Razak in Singapore;

g) Altantuya Shaariibuu wanted me to arrange to see Najib Razak;

h) I told the police about the relationship between Najib Razak and Altantuya Shaariibuu but when it came to sign my statement this detail was left out;

i) The prosecutor during the course of the trial in the High Court of Shah Alam did not ask me any questions in respect of Altantuya Shaariibuu’s purported relationship with Najib Razak or of a phone call I received from one DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC to Najib Razak and/or his wife;

j) Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before he was arrested but did not receive a response; and

k) Najib Razak sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda on the day of his arrest to the effect that he was going to see the IGP that day and that the matter should be resolved and for Abdul Razak Baginda to remain calm.

4. I wish to retract all the statements that I have made in paragraphs 8, 25, 28, 49 and 50 to 52 of my statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008. THE SORRY AND SAD STATE OF MALAYSIA'S STATUTORY DECLARATION AS LEGAL INSTRUMENT

Malaysians can go to sleep now, rest assured that they might not even need A COURT OF LAW anymore tomorrow, now that a NEW LEGAL INSTRUMENT has been found (at last) and overwhelmingly accepted as the best resort in sentencing and determining the involved-truth; which cost the SUBSCRIBER nothing more than a litre of the $2.70 priced petrol (for a 10 minutes trip) and a $5.00 more for the instrument to be WRITTEN, LOOKED-AT and ACKNOWLEDGED. And a cup of coffee spent after, for the witnessing ‘legally-aged smiling’ Malaysian, who acts as a WITNESS and who happens to be there and forgot to take his breakfast, hours before.

Well…for a cup of hot brewing coffee and maybe some cookies and if lucky, perhaps some cash to go by with; who WOULDN’T WANT to be a witness to the ‘who cares’ kind of written declarations.

The best part, that would put other more developed nations and its 100++ years old legal practises and trivia to DEFINITE SHAME is the use of HEARSAY as the main entities, core ingredients, un-denying un-challenging facts and legalised supporting factors to SUPPORT, APPROVE, ACCEPT and DEEMED the said instrument or statement as rationally and rightly made up of the truth and nothing else but the truth, and with the signatures in place and a $5.00 note exchanging hands plus the parting handshakes; all shall now be taken as the absolute tendering declaration of unshaken evidence of this someone is TELLING THE TRUTH, without the need to be sworn in the court of law and without the need for any legal judgement therefore. Infact, why would anyone need an affidavit for, when the practicality and monetary cost of this said instrument is much simpler, cheaper and easier to produce.

I’m talking about an instrument calls STATUTORY DECLARATION. But not just any other Statutory Declaration. It must be MADE IN MALAYSIA BY MALAYSIAN. And of course, for the use in Malaysia only. Because at other well informed and regulated countries, a Statutory Declaration based on HEARSAYS, RUMORS, GOD-GIVEN DREAMS etc shall find its way INTO THE RUBBISH BIN.

While its tickles to look at such instrument is at used, the STUPIDITY actually came from the GENIUSES of some HOTSHOTS MALAYSIAN POLITICALLY-MOTIVATED MAVERICKS, in finding ways to portray and make such a Statutory Declaration seen bigger, better, hotter, trustier and convincingly sexier than any of the produced Commonwealth’s format and purpose.

Even the glamorous and contentious Malaysia very own BAR COUNCIL would NOT DARE to issue out comments and explanations of this new-founded and dumb-founded instrument which looks less like any Statutory Declaration they have ever came across throughout their years of practising laws. With both the posterior and interior of this Malaysian made Statutory Declaration, is getting lesser and lesser by day, no-thanks to the current political scenarios brewing here in Malaysia, that make anyone ‘who’s who’ nowadays racing for a Statutory Declaration of their own. If that’s the case then, we should all be ready to embrace another round of upcoming HEARSAY’s Statutory Declarations from anyone Tom, Dick and Harry, all in the name of TRUTH and all for the sake of POLITICS.

As for you who are clueless and curious as to what I am saying and sketching out to, which meant you are either not a Malaysian or just back from space; the copies of Statutory Declarations at the bottom half of this article might help you to know what a Statutory Declaration looks like, BUT might not help you to understand what my argumentative points are and have to do with these two controversial Statutory Declarations, one which dated on June 18, 2008 by Raja Petra Kamarudin (aka RPK). And another, which was the latest in circulations, by Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal.

This article is solely about the SORRY and SAD STATE of STATUTORY DECLARATION in Malaysia. BUT I will however, in my upcoming articles and at given opportunities, encroach further into these two Statutory Declarations and of its related events, which I believed, most of you had known and heard of, louder than me.

I, RAJA PETRA BIN RAJA KAMARUDIN (IC No: 500927-71-5257), a Malaysian citizen of legal age residing at No. 5, Jalan BRP 5/5, BuKit Rahman Putra, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor Darul Ehsan, do solemnly and sincerely affirm and say as follows:-

1. I have been reliably informed that between about 10 p.m. on 19th October 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered, three (3) other people were also present at the scene of the crime;

(a) Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak

(b) Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong (then Lt. Col.) a C4 expert

(c) Acting Colonel Aziz’s wife, Norhayati (one of Rosmah’s ADC)

2. My informer states that Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong was the person who placed the C4 on various parts of Altantuya’s body while being witnessed by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Norhayati.

3. I make this Statutory Declaration because I have been reliably informed about the involvement of these three people who have thus far not been implicated in the murder nor called as witnesses by the prosecution in the on going trial at the Shah Alam High Court. I also make this Statutory Declaration because I am aware that it is a crime not to reveal evidence that may help the police in its investigation of the crime.

4. I have further been reliably informed that Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has received a written report from the Military Intelligence confirming what I have revealed above and that the report was subsequently handed over to his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, for safe-keeping.

5. I have also been reliably informed that one of the Rulers has been briefed about this matter and His Highness is fully aware of what I have revealed above.

6. I have knowledge of who has informed me of this matter plus I have knowledge of the Ruler who has been briefed and is aware of the matter but I have agreed that I shall not reveal this information other than mention that the Prime Minister and his son-in-law have been handed a written report confirming what I have revealed.

7. The purpose of this Statutory Declaration is to urge all these parties who have been duly informed and have knowledge of this matter to come forward to reveal the truth so that the police are able to conduct a proper and thorough investigation into the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

THE STATUTORY DECLARATION

I, Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal (NRIC NO: xxxxxx-xx-6235) a Malaysian Citizen of full age and residing at xxxxx, Selangor do solemly and sincerely declare as follows :-

2. I have been working as a free lance Private Investigator since I left the Police Force.

3. Sometime in June or July 2006, I was employed by Abdul Razak Baginda for a period of 10 days to look after him at his office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m each working day as apparently he was experiencing disturbances from a third party.

4. I resigned from this job after 2 ½ days as I was not receiving any proper instructions.
5. I was however re-employed by Abdul Razak Baginda on the 05-10-2006 as he had apparently received a harassing phone call from a Chinese man calling himself ASP Tan who had threatened him to pay his debts. I later found out this gentleman was in fact a private investigator called Ang who was employed by a Mongolian woman called Altantuya Shaaribuu.

6. Abdul Razak Baginda was concerned that a person by the name of Altantuya Shaaribuu, a Mongolian woman, was behind this threat and that she would be arriving in Malaysia very soon to try and contact him.

7. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was concerned by this as he had been advised that Altantuya Shaaribuu had been given some powers by a Mongolian ‘bomoh’ and that he could never look her in the face because of this.

8. When I enquired as to who this Mongolian woman was, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that she was a friend of his who had been introduced to him by a VIP and who asked him to look after her financially.

9. I advised him to lodge a police report concerning the threatening phone call he had received from the Chinese man known as ASP Tan but he refused to do so as he informed me there were some high profile people involved.

10. Abdul Razak Baginda further told me that Altantuya Shaaribuu was a great liar and good in convincing people. She was supposed to have been very demanding financially and that he had even financed a property for her in Mongolia.

11. Abdul Razak Baginda then let me listen to some voice messages on his handphone asking him to pay what was due otherwise he would be harmed and his daughter harassed.
12. I was therefore supposed to protect his daughter Rowena as well.

13. On the 09.10.2006 I received a phone call from Abdul Razak Baginda at about 9.30 a.m. informing me that Altantuya was in his office and he wanted me there immediately. As I was in the midst of a surveillance, I sent my assistant Suras to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office and I followed a little later. Suras managed to control the situation and had persuaded Altantuya and her two friends to leave the premises. However Altantuya left a note written on some Hotel Malaya note paper, in English, asking Abdul Razak Baginda to call her on her handphone (number given) and wrote down her room number as well.
14. Altantuya had introduced herself to Suras as ‘Aminah’ and had informed Suras she was there to see her boyfriend Abdul Razak Baginda.
15. These 3 Mongolian girls however returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang again, the next day at about 12.00 noon. They did not enter the building but again informed Suras that they wanted to meet Aminah’s boyfriend, Abdul Razak Baginda.

16. On the 11.10.2006, Aminah returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office on her own and gave me a note to pass to him, which I did. Abdul Razak Baginda showed me the note which basically asked him to call her urgently.

17. I suggested to Abdul Razak Baginda that perhaps it may be wise to arrange for Aminah to be arrested if she harassed him further, but he declined as he felt she would have to return to Mongolia as soon as her cash ran out.
18. In the meantime I had arranged for Suras to perform surveillance on Hotel Malaya to monitor the movements of these 3 Mongolian girls, but they recognized him. Apparently they become friends with Suras after that and he ended up spending a few nights in their hotel room.
19. When Abdul Razak Baginda discovered Suras was becoming close to Aminah he asked me to pull him out from Hotel Malaya.
20. On the 14.10.2006, Aminah turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights when I was not there. Abdul Razak Baginda called me on my handphone to inform me of this so I rushed back to his house. As I arrived, I noticed Aminah outside the front gates shouting “Razak, bastard, come out from the house”. I tried to calm her down but couldn’t so I called the police who arrived in 2 patrol cars. I explained the situation to the police, who took her away to the Brickfields police station.
21. I followed the patrol cars to Brickfields police station in a taxi. I called Abdul Razak Baginda and his lawyer Dirren to lodge a police report but they refused.
22. When I was at the Brickfields police station, Aminah’s own Private Investigator, one Mr. Ang arrived and we had a discussion. I was told to deliver a demand to Abdul Razak Baginda for USD$500,000.00 and 3 tickets to Mongolia, apparently as commission owed to Aminah from a deal in Paris.

23. As Aminah had calmed down at this stage, a policewoman at the Brickfields police station advised me to leave and settle the matter amicably.

24. I duly informed Abdul Razak Baginda of the demands Aminah had made and told him I was disappointed that no one wanted to back me up in lodging a police report. We had a long discussion about the situation when I expressed a desire to pull out of this assignment.

25. During this discussion and in an attempt to persuade me to continue my employment with him, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that :-
25.1 He had been introduced to Aminah by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a diamond exhibition in Singapore.
25.2 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Aminah and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse.
25.3 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wanted Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Aminah as he did not want her to harass him since he was now the Deputy Prime Minister.
25.4 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had all been together at a dinner in Paris.

25.5 Aminah wanted money from him as she felt she was entitled to a USD$500,000.00 commission on a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris.

26. On the 19.10.2006, I arrived at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights to begin my night duty. I had parked my car outside as usual. I saw a yellow proton perdana taxi pass by with 3 ladies inside, one of whom was Aminah. The taxi did a U-turn and stopped in front of the house where these ladies rolled down the window and wished me ‘Happy Deepavali’. The taxi then left.

27. About 20 minutes later the taxi returned with only Aminah in it. She got out of the taxi and walked towards me and started talking to me. I sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda informing him “Aminah was here”. I received an SMS from Razak instructing me “To delay her until my man comes”.
28. Whist I was talking to Aminah, she informed me of the following :-
28.1 That she met Abdul Razak Baginda in Singapore with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
28.2 That she had also met Abdul Razak Baginda and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a dinner in Paris.
28.3 That she was promised a sum of USD$500,000.00 as commission for assisting in a Submarine deal in Paris.
28.4 That Abdul Razak Baginda had bought her a house in Mongolia but her brother had refinanced it and she needed money to redeem it.
28.5 That her mother was ill and she needed money to pay for her treatment.
28.6That Abdul Razak Baginda had married her in Korea as her mother is Korean whilst her father was a Mongolian/Chinese mix.
28.7 That if I wouldn’t allow her to see Abdul Razak Baginda, would I be able to arrange for her to see Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

29. After talking to Aminah for about 15 minutes, a red proton aeroback arrived with a woman and two men. I now know the woman to be Lance Corporal Rohaniza and the men, Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azahar. They were all in plain clothes. Azilah walked towards me while the other two stayed in the car.

30. Azilah asked me whether the woman was Aminah and I said ‘Yes’. He then walked off and made a few calls on his handphone. After 10 minutes another vehicle, a blue proton saga, driven by a Malay man, passed by slowly. The drivers window had been wound down and the driver was looking at us.

31. Azilah then informed me they would be taking Aminah away. I informed Aminah they were arresting her. The other two persons then got out of the red proton and exchanged seats so that Lance Corporal Rohaniza and Aminah were in the back while the two men were in the front. They drove off and that is the last I ever saw of Aminah.

32. Abdul Razak Baginda was not at home when all this occurred.
33. After the 19.10.2006, I continued to work for Abdul Razak Baginda at his house in Damansara Heights from 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. the next morning, as he had been receiving threatening text messages from a woman called ‘Amy’ who was apparently ‘Aminah’s’ cousin in Mongolia.

34. On the night of the 20.10.2006, both of Aminah’s girl friends turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house enquiring where Aminah was. I informed them she had been arrested the night before.

35. A couple of nights later, these two Mongolian girls, Mr. Ang and another Mongolian girl called ‘Amy’ turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house looking for Aminah as they appeared to be convinced she was being held in the house.

36. A commotion began so I called the police who arrived shortly thereafter in a patrol car. Another patrol car arrived a short while later in which was the investigating officer from the Dang Wangi Police Station who was in charge of the missing persons report lodged by one of the Mongolians girls, I believe was Amy.

37. I called Abdul Razak Baginda who was at home to inform him of the events taking place at his front gate. He then called DSP Musa Safri and called me back informing me that Musa Safri would be calling handphone and I was to pass the phone to the Inspector from Dang Wangi Police Station.

38. I then received a call on my handphone from Musa Safri and duly handed the phone to the Dang Wangi Inspector. The conversation lasted 3 - 4 minutes after which he told the girls to disperse and to go to see him the next day.

39. On or about the 24.10.2006, Abdul Razak Baginda instructed me to accompany him to the Brickfields police station as he had been advised to lodge a police report about the harassment he was receiving from these Mongolian girls.

40. Before this, Amy had sent me an SMS informing me she was going to Thailand to lodge a report with the Mongolian consulate there regarding Aminah’s disappearance. Apparently she had sent the same SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda. This is why he told me he had been advised to lodge a police report.

41. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that DPS Musa Safri had introduced him to one DSP Idris, the head of the Criminal division, Brickfields police station, and that Idris had referred him to ASP Tonny.

42. When Abdul Razak Baginda had lodged his police report at Brickfields police station, in front of ASP Tonny, he was asked to make a statement but he refused as he said he was leaving for overseas. He did however promise to prepare a statement and hand ASP Tonny a thumb drive. I know that this was not done as ASP Tonny told me.

43. However ASP Tonny asked me the next day to provide my statement instead and so I did.

44. I stopped working for Abdul Razak Baginda on the 26.10.2006 as this was the day he left for Hong Kong on his own.

45. In mid November 2006, I received a phone call from ASP Tonny from the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah asking me to see him regarding Aminah’s case. When I arrived there I was immediately arrested under S.506 of the Penal Code for Criminal intimidation.

46. I was then placed in the lock up and remanded for 5 days. On the third day I was released on police bail.
47. At the end of November 2006, the D9 department of the IPK sent a detective to my house to escort me to the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah. When I arrived, I was told I was being arrested under S.302 of the Penal Code for murder. I was put in the lock up and remanded for 7 days.

48. I was transported to Bukit Aman where I was interrogated and questioned about an SMS I had received from Abdul Razak Baginda on the 19.10.2006 which read “delay her until my man arrives”. They had apparently retrieved this message from Abdul Razak Baginda’s handphone.
49. They then proceeded to record my statement from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. everyday for 7 consecutive days. I told them all I knew including everything Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had told me about their relationships with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but when I came to sign my statement, these details had been left out.
50. I have given evidence in the trial of Azilah, Sirul and Abdul Razak Baginda at the Shah Alam High Court. The prosecutor did not ask me any questions in respect of Aminah’s relationship with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak or of the phone call I received from DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC for Datuk Seri Najib Razak and/or his wife.

51. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30 a.m. Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.

52. Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30 a.m., Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows :- ” I am seeing IGP at 11.00 a.m. today …… matter will be solved … be cool”.

53. I have been made to understand that Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested the same morning at his office in the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang.

54. The purpose of this Statutory declaration is to :-
54.1 State my disappointment at the standard of investigations conducted by the authorities into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.

54.2 Bring to the notice of the relevant authorities the strong possibility that there are individuals other than the 3 accused who must have played a role in the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.
54.3 Persuade the relevant authorities to reopen their investigations into this case immediately so that any fresh evidence may be presented to the Court prior to submissions at the end of the prosecutions case.

54.4 Emphasize the fact that having been a member of the Royal Malaysian Police Force for 17 years I am absolutely certain no police officer would shoot someone in the head and blow up their body without receiving specific instructions from their superiors first.
54.5. Express my concern that should the defence not be called in the said murder trial, the accused, Azilah and Sirul will not have to swear on oath and testify as to the instructions they received and from whom they were given.

55. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1960.

SAIFUL BUKHARI'S CASE HAS NOW BEEN OFFICIALLY CLASSIFIED AS SODOMY

The SEXUAL REPORT against DATO’ SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM has been classified as SODOMY.

This was the first time police have revealed that investigations had started after earlier saying that the allegations were mere heresay.

Yesterday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar put to rest speculation about the investigations.

"The case has been classified as sodomy," he told the New Straits Times, adding that he could not comment further as investigations were still going on.

Checks yesterday (by NSTP) also revealed that doctors at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, after a battery of tests, found indications that MOHD SAIFUL HAD ENGAGED IN ANAL SEX.

Those above are the words written by one, JANNA SYARIZA MOHD ZAKI (verification needed) in her blog titled ‘a step in my Pink Mary Jane”. Janna is the fiancé to MOHD SAIFUL BUKHARI AZLAN, the guy who lodged a police report against PKR De Facto Leader and the most talked about politician, most probably throughout the whole South East Asia region currently now; DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM.

Janna most probably had gone through one of the most critical period of her life and expectedly, one of the most mentally and physically tiring by virtue of being the soul attachment (fiancé) to currently the most famous 23 years old guy in Malaysia.

IF those words by the person name Janna Mohd Zaki in her said blog are for real, then the innocent Janna shall stands by her man Saiful Bukhari for better or worse and for her to already knew what the coming battles, outcomes and accusations shall be, and prepared for the worst. In doing so, she too most probably knows the truth. To take and analyze Janna’s saying “…no matter how long it takes. Justice will prevail” is giving the assumed innocence of Saiful Bukhari, CREDIBILITY. IF NOT, it makes no sense for a fine, educated and sensible gal (Janna) to put herself in the firing line just for the sake of standing up for another man’s scandal. She believed in Saiful Bukhari. Hence she should have known something that we obviously don’t at all.

Few others of Janna Mohd Zaki friends have also started making topics of the same issue in defence of Janna. They have started some sorts of a little crusade especially against irresponsible those who publish the picture of their friend Janna and those who are cashing popularity and publicity upon it.

In another development of the same kind, Cyber News-Portal Malaysiakini has published a so-called encounter with one who claims to be the uncle to the 23 years old victim, Saiful Bukhari Azlan at Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

"But I BELIEVE in Saiful. He is a good kid and all that he has done, he has done with HONESTY. I just got back from Perak and we've not been in touch but I KNOW WHY HE LODGED THE REPORT." Said the uncle.

Teary-eyed, the uncle said that his nephew reported the matter as he WANTED TO EXPOSE the PKR leader FOR WHAT HE WAS. When asked about Saiful's alleged links to Umno politicians, the uncle brushed them off.

"We've got no help or connections with Umno. All he wanted to do is to expose the heinous crime."

Its looks like the scope and spectrum of this issue has taken a step further.

With Janna unscathed believes in Saiful Bukhari and standing up for the man and his deeds. And the so-called Uncle putting the family trusts in Saiful Bukhari and supports his nephew’s intention of exposing the unknown. Plus the then hiding of Anwar, taking a desperate refuge in a foreign embassy and the surprising inclusion of a 23 years old handsome young male (Saiful Bukhari) with only a ‘3 months old know-by’ into Anwar’s circle of friends to subsequently becomes a Special Assistant; have put the ball so much, so clearly and so obviously now in Anwar Ibrahim’s court.

Until today, not one members of Anwar’s circle has come out to explain on why a guy they have only known for 3 short months, can be so surprisingly closed to Anwar? Why a guy whom they knew and claimed to be a Barisan Nasional’s (BN) planted mole can be closed to Anwar without proper monitoring and prior actions taken? How can such a careful, cautious and well taken care, Anwar Ibrahim be so careless to let this Saiful Bukhari type of personality to foot in and be rewarded with such post (Special Assistant)?. IF all the leaders of PKR regarded this Saiful Bukhari as SCUM and of no use to PKR other than just an ORDINARY volunteer, WHY DID THEN Anwar Ibrahim look at him differently and of EXTRA-ORDINARY traits, worth enough to be appointed as an aide?

Saiful Bukhari NOW has the most IMPORTANT, SIGNIFICANT and most NEEDED SUPPORTS to get on, of all, his life. The supports from the people who love him, care for him and know him inside-out more than any one of us can assumed of him. The FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE in the basis of supports given to SAIFUL BUKHARI and ANWAR IBRAHIM, is that THE LATTER is so much POLITICALLY in smells and natures and reasons. While THE FORMER has nothing excepts the UNDIVIDED TRUSTS FROM THE LOVED ONE.

ANWAR IBRAHIM SHOULD STOP HIDING AND SELLING, TO START ROLLING THE TRUTH

IF NOT for the reason of BEING THE MAN OF HIS WORDS, then DO IT for the reason of facilitating the police to carry on their duties in investigating this case, thoroughly and fairly. Which meant, Anwar has to be and made himself available NOW that he is needed. The problem now that Anwar since has exclusively made the TURKEY EMBASSY as his own; is the PROTOCOL that the police or Malaysian Authorities have to obtain from the Turks in order to get to Anwar. QUESTIONS FLYING OVER THE SO-CALLED 'ADHOC' RELATIONSHIP OF ANWAR AND SAIFUL

QUESTIONS are flying in at unperturbed speed QUESTIONING the relation between the accused DATO SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM and the accuser (and victim), 23 YEARS OLD MALE BY THE NAME MOHD SAIFUL BUKHARI B. AZLAN.

How come a YOUNG MALE AT THE AGE OF 23 can be and was appointed as a SPECIAL ASSISTANT to such a figure, Anwar Ibrahim, who supposedly and should be more in needs of someone who is much higher in experience and older as one, Special Assistant? A 23 years old hero, who had just graduated into Anwar’s circle 3 months ago, cant be that too exceptionally well to be bestowed with such trust and post as a Special Assistant succeeding many other potential and trustworthy candidates. So what’s the REASON AND RATIONAL for Saiful Bukhari inclusion and appointment then? Whats the CATCH this 23 years old has that no one others have?

Why did Anwar Ibrahim, for such a smart and cautious politician he is, chooses a young male with only 3 months of party experience, to be his Special Assistant? What is so special about this 23 years old male then? What did he see in this 23 years old that others don’t?

Anwar Ibrahim had since, DENIED the truth in the allegation and was contemplating on taking legal actions against the accuser. The accuser and victim, Saiful Bukhari meanwhile is reported to be somewhere in a hospital in Kuala Lumpur most probably for medical investigations. (Read here)

ANWAR IBRAHIM IS ACCUSED OF SODOMY BY HIS SPECIAL ASSISTANT

Opposition Stalwart and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) De Facto Leader, DATO’ SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM has been ACCUSED OF SODOMY in a police report made by the accuser named MOHD SAIFUL BUKHARI who is also a Special Assistant to Anwar Ibrahim. (Read here)

Within hours after the report, some quarters within PKR wasted no time in sending sms-es, revoking the merit of the police report by claiming that Saiful Bukhari was forced to do it BUT no elaborations given as to by who and for what.

KL’s CID Chief SAC Ku Chin Wah has meanwhile, confirmed a report had been made on Anwar Ibrahim but declined to comment further but added that NO ARREST shall take place until the matter is studied and investigated.

It is reported that a SUDDEN CRISIS MEETING is currently being held by the Party (PKR) top members to discuss the issue and the courses if Anwar Ibrahim is to be detained.

YAHYA SAHRI RESIGNED TO START A CRUSADE AGAINST HIS BOSS KHALID IBRAHIM

The FAMOUS MOHD YAHYA SAHRI of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) had yesterday resigned from both of his posts as a Special Officer to MB of Selangor and a PKR State Liasion Officer, cited the LOST OF FAITH (Hilang Kepercayaan) in the leadership of his boss TAN SRI KHALID IBRAHIM, as the reason. He declined to comment further but said details of the specific reason as to why he acted the way, will come later when needed.

Yahya is currently in the midst of the current on-going ACA INVESTIGATION on the MISUSED OF POWER in the awarding of cleaning contracts in Petaling Jaya. He has since, been cynically implicated by various quarters including from his boss, Tan Sri Khalid who later ‘sms-ed’ Yahya, suspended him from work which effected immediately then. Yahya was (according to an insider) seen avidly SURPRISED and ANGERED at the action taken by Khalid whom according to his (Yahya) believes, should have had taken a more sensitive and considerate manner in handling the issue, what more when they both have been friends, political associates and trustworthy partners for almost a decade. BUT instead, Khalid, in what many believed, trying to SAFEGUARD his new-found images and status, made a decision to cut off Yahya from anything that has to do with the Selangor new-formed government and its coming agendas. But the action taken by Khalid would indirectly deemed Yahya as guilty whereby the case is still early and very much on-going to even suggest anything of a wrongdoing by Yahya. Although it was just a suspension of work until the ACA clears out the investigation thing, many pro-Yahya supporters and PKR members saw it differently. They construed it as the shortest and fastest possible way for Khalid to POLITICALLY KILL-OFF Yahya Sahri for good. While Yahya has been trying to put things straight and clear his name at any given opportunities, Khalid has been fast shutting the doors.

In the latest development, both personalities have been hurrying themselves with allies and gathering supports. It was reported that some 200 PKR members had gathered at Yahya’s house in Shah Alam yesterday, to hear to his speeches and arguments on the provoking issue. In which then, Yahya also called for KHALID IBRAHIM TO RESIGN from his current post as the Head of Selangor PKR. Khalid meanwhile is reported to be doing the same, meeting and briefing some prominent PKR’s parliament and leadership members of the same issue, at his official resident.

Both men is believed to have been advised to wait for the final say or conclusion by the Party De Facto Leader, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In which a private meeting with each of them will be held by Anwar. But observers are sceptical over the results saying that Anwar will have to FAVOUR Khalid because Khalid holds more leverage and brokered more supports in and outside the Party. Khalid too is the MB of Selangor, a position which Anwar had put much efforts and strategies to win on behalf of PKR, and the one that he wont let slipping away ESPECIALLY NOW when the coalition of Pakatan Rakyat is very much seen at its hardest and most chaotic period of disagreements and distrusts among members of the coalition.

According to an insider, this issue may ends as soon as the meeting with Anwar took place BUT Yahya is believed to already contemplating a move beyond the fragile circle of Selangor PKR, and targeting PKR Supreme Council as his next platform to get the supports and to GET EVEN on Khalid. Yahya is also believed to have the supports of many State (Selangor) PAS members and business communities in Dewan Perniagaan Islam Malaysia (DPIM). The fact is, there’s much to lose if both men still barking and provoking one another. BUT IF Yahya is found NOT GUILTY by the ACA, he may then had the best ground to ATTACK AND SILENCE Khalid Ibrahim, once and for all.

THE RIGHT DONATIONS THAT WENT INTO WRONG ACCOUNT BUYING MORE THAN TROUBLE

A Day after his former ally and PKR Youth Chief, Ezam Mohd Nor, CLAIMED OF MISMANAGEMENT AND MISAPPROPRIATION of certain donations purposely for the use towards the organizing of Pakatan Rakyat 100’ days in Office, which went to PKR instead; Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, the Selangor MB and PKR Treasurer General ADMITTED to those allegations BUT acting as if he was of no knowledge and those were done without his consents. It was also heavily rumoured that Khalid displeasures were extended and aimed at one of his top aide, Mohd Yahya Sahri who was associated with the current on-going ACA investigation on the award of Cleaning Contracts in Petaling Jaya. BUT of course, he is more upsets with Ezam, now that Ezam has started to play the POLITICAL GAME ONCE AGAIN.

Although Khalid made seen of himself to be a bystander in both cases, the very mentioned of Ezam, is the most probable reason as to why he had to put a brave face and a statement, and makes public on the issue of the donations. This is because Ezam Mohd Nor is a former strongman of PKR with still-friends all over the organization that themselves could play their hands dirty (for whatever reason) and provide Ezam with all sorts of information. Hence, there’s no hiding from Ezam NOT when Ezam himself had claimed to will be receiving the documents of his allegation soon.

BUT others too are questioning the facts given by Khalid pertaining to the donations issue.
“How come Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, Treasurer General of PKR and who is so much in charge of PKR bank accounts, HAS NO prior knowledge of what is going on with the accounts, the transactions and the beneficiaries? This is totally making no sense at all”. Asked one political observer.

Ezam Mohd Nor, Former PKR Youth Chief, yesterday MADE AN ALLEGATION OF MISMANAGEMENT OF FUNDS donated by various companies for the celebration of PAKATAN RAKYAT 100’DAYS IN OFFICE, by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

The donations which were meant and supposed to go to the State were instead DEPOSITED into PKR’s own account.

Ezam said he will prove the allegation and the documents proving the wrong-doing are forthcoming.

Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat Youth Chief and Strongman, MOHD EZAM MOHD NOR, yesterday CLAIMED that Pakatan Rakyat (PR) is on the verge of a very DANGEROUS CRISIS that may SPLIT THE COALITION if not properly and aggressively addresses fast. He added that was the reason why Datuk Yong Teck Lee (SAPP President) and his rebellious members, chose NOW or the current moment to create the atmosphere of tension within the Rakyat and the subsequent call of no confidence vote on PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi; most likely as instructed or requested by PKR De Facto Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. It was an ACT OF DESPERATION by Anwar to divert the attention of the cracks and disagreements that have been happening and noticed lately within Pakatan Rakyat especially in Selangor.

“THERE IS INFIGHTING, TENSION AND ANWAR NEEDS A TEMPORARY DIVERSION TO COVER THE CRACKS” said Ezam.

He also claimed that more than often, PAS (as one of the ruling members in Selangor and the biggest in Pakatan Rakyat) is kept IN THE DARK about the policies embarked and of their progress, including the recent FREE WATER offered to consumers. SAPP SAGA: YONG TECK LEE IS REVEALED!

Less than 24 hours of the DEFIANCE AND CONTROVERSIAL calling for PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to be CENSURED by way of a NO CONFIDENCE VOTE in Parliament , DATUK YONG TECK LEE (Chief of SAPP) IS REVEALED!

50 years ol’ lawyer turned politician, Yong Teck Lee (or famously known as Sabah’s YTL) is a heck of politician with colours of no less colourful than any other controversial, historical and shameful politicians whom making mockeries out of Rakyat’s trust and elect.

DESERTING the Party and People who had gave their TRUST and LOYALTY, is nothing new to YTL. He has done that upon Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), influencing other members to dump the still PBS President and former Sabah CM, Datuk Joseph Pairin Kitingan, forming a new party called SAPP. Back then, the person who had much to do, persuaded and orchestrated this cruel move by YTL and co, is none other than the current so-called De Facto leader of PKR, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. With the blessing from former PM, Tun Mahathir Mohamad, of course, after BN fails to win Sabah for the fourth time. And now he’s about TO DO THE SAME with SAPP, manipulating the party into believing of the some wonderful things to come, WORST, YET AGAIN deserting the trust and mandate given by the common party (SAPP) members and Sabahans in general. He has been riding on the common things which spelt same as to the ‘TWENTY-POINTS’ memoranda submitted to then PM, Tunku Abdul Rahman before the formation of Malaysia; and more.

YTL OR as phrased in Bahasa Malaysia ‘Yang Tak Lari’ is never far from the matters involving LAWS. His political career and personal liking has seen him IN AND OUT OF COURTROOMS, too many too often.

In May 1986 he was on a charge of possession of DANGEROUS WEAPONS.

In December 1990 he was charged with disobeying a police order to disperse in an alleged illegal procession.

Two months after YTL took office as Sabah CM, Pairin filed a defamation suit against him.

In October 1997, Yong was among several others named in a suit alleging conspiracy to remove Forestry Department acting director Awang Tengah Awang Amin from his post and to sign off forest management units to various individuals and companies.

In June 2001, Yong lost his Likas state seat after the Election Court ruled that the electoral roll in the March 1999 elections was tainted with illegal voters. The court also ruled that Yong's agents contravened the Election Offences Act by using billboards to smear a rival candidate.

Yong also came under heavy criticism over a debacle involving the Saham Amanah Sabah which resulted in more than 57,000 Sabahans, who had invested in the fund, losing more than RM400 million.

The fund, launched during his tenure as chief minister, was managed by Saham Sabah Bhd (SSB), a government-investment arm.

One of the most controversial deals was SSB's move to exchange 32 million shares of blue-chip company MISC Bhd, worth RM182.4 million, for three million shares in North Borneo Timber (NBT) Bhd and 4.79 million Sugar Bun stocks held by Suniwang Sdn Bhd. Yong's friend, Datuk Joseph Ambrose Lee, was the key person behind NBT and Sugar Bun.

The NBT and Sugar Bun shares eventually became almost worthless while MISC continued to pay massive dividends and at today's value, the shares would be worth more than RM1 billion.

And IT clearly shows that YTL or Datuk Yong Teck Lee, is a GREED ‘Persona Grata’ INDEED.

SAPP SAGA: WIN OR BUST, THEY SHALL HAVE TO START THINKING ABOUT LEAVING

It’s a WIN or BUST for SAPP and Yong Teck Lee from now on, the way I see it. There’s no turning back when the path you chose spelt DISASTER for either parties. For Pak Lah, he can ONLY hope for sense and sensibility from his disappearing peers in the Coalition force (sitting in Parliament) and from UMNO. As for SAPP, they can start counting their days in BARISAN NASIONAL (BN) even IF their wishes of NO CONFIDENCE on Pak Lah do go through and made the impact. Because, the principle of which they embarked on, worth NO TRUSTING at all.

While Pak Lah is a clear cut leader who had less vision on how to lead the nation and losing popularity as fast as melting butter in hot pan; he lately had been seen going places promoting honest intentions in trying to reform so many things of which some even had him being branded as giving ways and faces by some quarters of fanatic or hard-core Malay segments, including former PM, Tun Mahathir Mohamad.

Yong Teck Lee too had been at places. The most recent was Hong Kong, where he had a meeting with Anwar Ibrahim, which Yong then countless times DENIED IT but today seen candidly SMILLING, ADMITING to his so-rumoured of meeting Anwar as TRUTH, with no further elaborations. Infact, he added, he had met Anwar TWICE, with the latter meeting taken place in KL. Also without further elaborations. So he LIED then. He manipulated everyone, thinking that SAPP was very much in solidarity with BN and Pak Lah, and was very much in honesty and truly living to the spirit and good-name of BN.

Pak Lah KNEW about this. He knew about those meeting taken place. That was why Pak Lah had been seen splashing all sorts of incentives and monetary schemes to Sabah and Sarawak, hoping with those he can calmed Sabahan leaders and also to buy trust and time in order for him to sort the other big part of his political troubles, which is UMNO. He didn’t anticipate this SAPP thing, coming. Nobody did, although Tengku Razaleigh had a few days back mentioned about it. Pak Lah didn’t take the call by Anwar Ibrahim about something to come before August, SERIOUSLY. Anwar even mentioned about SABAH. Sadly, that’s the PITY of having to know Pak Lah. HE TOOK THINGS FOR GRANTED.

SAPP has every right to question their leader of BN and govt on matters pertaining to their state, Sabah. SAPP has every right to push for something that benefits the people of Sabah. SAPP has every right to charter the course that may bring PEACE and WEALTH to the people of Sabah. BUT to demand OIL ROYALTY at a STAGGERING 20% and the RETURNS OF LABUAN TO SABAH are of wishes (or demand) that NOT PAK LAH, NOT EVEN the great Tun Mahathir (if he’s in power) OR any leader for that matter, WOULD ENTERTAINED AND OBLIGED TO. Those demands are not just affecting the government but MALAYSIA as a country too.

All these years, revenues from all sorts of sectors belong to Malaysian, have been channelled and used for the greater improvement of Sabah and Sarawak (and vice versa). And although the progress in both states in reality were far from impressive, the proportions of the allotments, have been fair taking into all considerations including the size of both states compare to states in Peninsular Malaysia.

The fact is, SAPP is demanding for the UNTHINKABLE INCLUDING the DISGUSTED request for AUTONOMOUS POLITICAL POWER OF SABAH. YES goodness me! AUTONOMOUS SABAH!!! Meaning, SAPP wants Sabah to be literally much politically SEPARATED (in Power) from Malaysia (Peninsula), of those very aspects we have lived, fought and agreed by, for and to! These are not HONEST REQUESTS for the people of Sabah. These are RHETORICAL TRICKS put up TO BAIT OTHERS INTO SAPP HIDDEN AGENDAS of which ANWAR IBRAHIM could be much to do with it. Afterall, Anwar was then one of the KEY PLAYERS and CULPRITS who represents the Federal Power in asserting Federal authoritarian onto Sabah, by introducing UMNO in the early 90's to prohibit and prevent the then on-going insertions of Sabahan (and ethnicities) sentiments amongst the people by Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

SAPP would do JUST, FAIRNESS AND FAVOUR to all Malaysian BY SKIPPING ALL THESE RHETORIC IDIOCIES AND FILE FOR DIVORCE FROM BARISAN NASIONAL. We (the Rakyat) had ENOUGH SUFFERING. We don’t need this to add to our already miserable and uncertain daily livelihood.

SAPP should go on their own. They can take the 2 parliamentary seats which are rightly NOT THEIRS, be a PROUD INDEPENDENT SABAHAN PARTY and see how well their agendas would do good to themselves and more importantly, to the people of Sabah. That is a challenge far worth in dignity and sincerity THAN threatening Pak Lah (and all Malaysians, in a way) for the SO OBVIOUSLY ABSURD REASONS GIVEN, which even the dumbest of me, cant be that dumb to logically, accepted IT.

We are so sure that Pak Lah time will come, in which he will let go or made to let go, leaving whatever legacy, both as President of UMNO and Prime Minister of Malaysia. (Which I wont be bother to care at all). BUT for SAPP and Yong Teck Lee, WIN OR BUST, THEY DEFINITELY HAVE TO START THINKING ABOUT LEAVING.

SAPP SAGA: NO CONFIDENCE VOTE CANNOT BE TABLED ON MONDAY

Datuk Nazri Aziz speedily with no time wasted, came out telling SAPP and other members of Parliament, that VOTE OF NO-CONFIDENCE CANNOT BE TABLED ON MONDAY. AT LEAST not through the normal existing procedure guided under the Standing Orders Rule 27. BUT can be tabled using Motion of Emergency privileged under Standing Orders rule 18 (1), PROVIDED the motion fulfils the required criteria sets on to it. But that too, is UP TO THE SPEAKER TO DECIDE.

SAPP SAGA: TO BRING PAK LAH DOWN THROUGH VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN PARLIAMENT

Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) is REPORTED to have NO CONFIDENCE anymore in the leadership of their Coalition’s chief (BN) also the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Pak Lah).

SAPP will table a NO-CONFIDENCE motion for votes against Pak Lah in the coming preceding of Parliament on Monday, June 23^rd. The motion can be tabled by any members of the Parliament, but most probably the SAPP shall be the one initiating it through either YB Datuk Chua Soon Bui or YB Datuk Eric Majimbun.

As to WHY SAPP chooses to NOW delivers this potentially fatal-blow to not just Pak Lah, BUT BN as well. Heres the rational behinds it:

“We must make a stand before the window of opportunity closes. This window of opportunity closes by August after which Sabah would be forgotten again. The nation¡¦s attention would switch to MCA and UMNO elections, people will be pre-occupied with the fasting month, Hari Raya, school exams and year end events. Political fatigue in the national mainstream over Sabah issues would set in” – SAPP press statement.

What’s the REASON for SAPP to take this drastic action and by what inputs of sense can the Rakyat judge this action to as reasonable and timely? Here it goes:

“The momentum for us to recover our autonomy, get 20% oil royalties and return of Labuan would be lost. Unfair federal laws, excessive taxes and structural imbalances in the economy will remain entrenched. Sabah will remain the poorest state subservient to the central leadership. Labuan bridge, poverty eradication and rural development will remain elusive. Racial politics and wasteful monopolies will continue as usual. The illegal immigrant problems will reach boiling point. Grown up street kids, illicit drugs and crimes will continue to strike fear among the people. Police and law enforcement will remain understaffed and under-resourced. In other words, Sabah will lose out badly again. We will not get this window of opportunity for another 50 years, if ever again. In fact, we have now become suspicious of their delaying tactics.” – SAPP press statement.

Is SAPP pulling OUT of BN since now they have becoming outrageously VOCAL and AGAINST the spirit of the BN?

“We will have a press conference on Friday June 20 to announce this matter of SAPP membership in BN after our Supreme Council meeting. This is the most popular question of the week. Actually, the BN has already left Sabah. The spirit of BN is no longer there. It is not that Sabah does not want BN; it is BN that does not want Sabah. The BN does not recognize the contribution of Sabah to the national mainstream. Ask any Sabah UMNO leader privately, they will pour out their frustrations. M'SIAN OIL SUBSIDY: THE FACTS WE CANT SIMPLY IGNORE. THE REALITY WE CANT SIMPLY ESCAPE

OIL PRICES AND SUBSIDIES – THE EXPLANATION

1. Why has the price of fuel on the international market increased recently?

• Since mid-2004, the price of crude oil has increased substantially on the world market. For example, the West Texas Intermediate (a reference price used in the United States and globally) increased from US$19 per barrel in 1993 to US$31 in 2003. In October 2004, it reached US$51 and in 2005 it went up to US$67 per barrel.

• The main causes for these increases are:

- The existence of a tight market due to the small margin between production (83.0 million barrels per day (bpd)) and demand (82.5 million bpd);

- High demand for oil by China, India and the United States;

- Uncertainty of supply in some OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) countries.

- Adverse weather conditions such as Hurricane Emily in Mexico, affecting oil production and

- Speculation on oil prices.

2. Our country produces oil. So why should we increase fuel prices?

• The price of oil and petroleum products are determined by the international market based on supply and demand. These are factors beyond our control. OPEC also plays an important role in setting oil production levels which in turn, affect the market price. Although Malaysia produces and exports oil, we are not a member of OPEC, nor are we a major oil producing country. As such we have no influence on how the price of oil is determined in the international market.

• If there is a large increase in oil prices on the world market, it affects the price of petroleum products such as diesel, petrol and cooking gas (LPG) in our country.

3. How do Malaysian fuel prices compare to neighbouring countries?

• By comparison, fuel in Malaysia is much cheaper than most ASEAN countries. In fact, our prices are among the lowest in the world.

• Due to the much lower prices of diesel in Malaysia compared to Thailand and Singapore, there is a big incentive for Thais and Singaporeans to buy petrol and diesel in our country.

4. How does the Government ensure fuel prices are cheaper compared to neighbouring countries?

• The Government ensures a low price of petrol, diesel and cooking gas in Malaysia by exempting sales tax on diesel and petrol and providing subsidies for all products.

• With the combination of subsidies and taxes forgone, the public can enjoy more affordable public transport. Subsidies also lower operating costs for fishermen and operators of river transportation in Sabah and Sarawak.

5. How are the retail prices of petroleum products in Malaysia determined?

• The mechanism for setting retail prices of petroleum products has been in effect since 1983.

• In brief, the retail prices of petrol, diesel and LPG are set as follows:

= Retail Price

• The price mechanism is linked to international market prices. The actual product price is determined after taking into consideration prevailing international prices, operating costs such as distribution and marketing costs and finally, sales taxes. In Malaysia, fuel is sold much cheaper than other countries because the Government provides subsidies and sales tax exemptions.

• For example, the retail price of RON97 petrol on 31 July 2005 is as follows:

6. What are subsidies?

• Subsidies are money paid to producers or retailers of a given product by the Government, in order to lower the retail price. It is a form of assistance for a given industry or segment of society.

7. How long will subsidies be maintained? Should they be abolished?

• The Government will continue to provide fuel subsidies but the amount would be determined by the state of Government finances.

• The Government is devising a more effective method to ensure that fuels like diesel and LPG are enjoyed by those truly requiring it such as fishermen, public transport operators and operators of river transportation in Sabah and Sarawak.

8. What are ‘taxes forgone’?

• Diesel and petrol are subject to sales taxes of 19.64 sen per litre and 58.62 sen per litre respectively. These taxes are revenue for the Government in addition to being a means of maintaining stable petroleum product prices. But the Government has decided to forgo this tax so that the retail price of petroleum products remains reasonable. This actually results in a loss of revenue for the Government.

• Recently, the amount of taxes forgone has increased. For example, in 1993, RM190.8 million was forgone, while in 1999 it amounted to RM2.6 billion. This year, it has rocketed to RM7.9 billion. Sales tax exemptions for diesel began in October 1999 following increasing prices, while for petrol it began in June 2004.

9. What are the negative effects of subsidies?

• One of the adverse effects of subsidies is market distortion, meaning the price of the commodity does not reflect its actual cost. This jeopardizes the national economy as it would lead to excessive fuel consumption and wastage in addition to unhealthy practices such as illicit trade, cheating and smuggling. The Government cannot permit the gap between market and subsidized prices to increase as this could encourage profiteering. Today, irresponsible parties make illegal profits by purchasing diesel at subsidized prices and selling it at higher prices to the non-subsidised sector.

• Another outcome from heavy subsidies is the smuggling of fuel, particularly diesel, to neighbouring countries. This is akin to giving foreigners the subsidies intended for Malaysians. Our country suffers a great loss. Based on projected subsidies of RM6.6 billion for 2005, smuggling 10 percent of fuel out of Malaysia would be equivalent to an outflow of RM660 million.

• The Government also has to spend more for enforcement personnel and equipment in order to arrest smuggling activities.

• Also, huge subsidies are ‘opportunity costs’ which prevent us from allocating more to national development to benefit a larger segment of our population. Savings from subsidies could be used to build more schools, hospitals and public facilities which would provide long lasting benefits for our future generations.

• Today, both the rich and the poor benefit from subsidies which are actually meant for the latter.

• Subsidies also jeopardize the ability of the Government to reduce the budget deficit.

10. How much would fuel and petroleum products cost without subsidies?

• Without subsidies, premium petrol (RON97) would cost RM2.45 per litre, and not RM1.62 that we are paying now. In fact when a consumer buys a litre of premium petrol in Peninsular Malaysia, the Government bears 82.82 sen that is 58.62 sen in the form of taxes forgone and 24.20 sen in subsidies.

• The actual cost of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is RM2.07 per litre. Consumers pay RM1.28 per litre because of the 59.13 sen subsidy and 19.64 sen tax forgone, per litre.

• The unsubsidized retail price of cooking gas (LPG) in Peninsular Malaysia is RM2.39 per kg. However, consumers buy LPG at RM1.45 per kg. This means that there is a subsidy of 93.92 sen per kg. For example, a 12 kg cylinder of cooking gas costs RM17.40 when in fact, the actual cost is RM28.67. In other words, for each cylinder of cooking gas purchased, the Government subsidizes the consumer RM11.27.

11. How much does the Government spend on fuel subsidies?

• The more fuel consumers use, the higher the amount borne by the Government for subsidies.

• As illustrated in Table 5, subsidies in 2001 were RM2.4 billion based on an average WTI crude oil price of US$25.24 per barrel. In 2004, the subsidies increased to RM4.8 billion based on the average international oil price of US$41.60 per barrel.

• This does not factor the loss of revenue from taxes which has also been increasing. Losses in 2002 of RM3.3 billion rose to RM4.8 billion in 2003 and reached RM7.2 billion in 2004.

• By increasing the retail prices of diesel and petrol on July 31 2005, the Government will save RM1 billion on subsidies. For 2005 subsidies are now expected to be RM6.6 billion compared to RM7.6 billion before the price increase (2004 subsidies totalled RM4.8 billion), as illustrated in Table 5.

• Large subsidies are ‘opportunity costs’ as the substantial amount of money could be better used to benefit the rakyat, for example, by building schools or public amenities.

12. The Country benefits from increased oil prices. Why can’t the Government increase its subsidies?

• When oil prices rise, the Government’s revenue increases accordingly. However, subsidies borne by the Government also increase from RM4.8 billion in 2004 to a projected RM6.6 billion in 2005.

• It is true that as oil prices on the global market increase, the country’s export earnings from oil goes up. However, the Government chooses to spend this additional income responsibly. It would be unwise of the Government to utilize the additional income earned to fully subsidize fuel prices.

• We must remember that gains from the increase in oil prices will only benefit us in the short term. In the medium term, subsequent increases in oil prices will adversely impact the world economy and being an open economy Malaysian exports would reduce and consequently national income contracts. As such, in the medium term an increase in oil prices does not benefit us.

• Furthermore, we still have to import to meet some of our domestic oil needs. While it is true that we gain from exports of oil at higher prices, we still have to pay more for the oil that we import.

13. What is the impact of subsidies on Government finances?

• Subsidies and tax exemptions impact Government finances in five ways:

- First, it results in an increase of the operating expenditure. Subsidies of RM6.6 billion in 2005 represent 7.4 percent of operating expenditure. Without subsidies, the fiscal deficit could be reduced.

- Second, if the savings are not used to reduce the deficit, it could instead be utilized for development. RM6.6 billion spent on subsidies represents 23.3 percent of the 2005 development budget, which is equivalent to building 600 secondary schools assuming it costs RM11 million to build one school.

- Third, tax revenue forgone represents a loss in revenue for Government. Sales tax revenue forgone of RM7.9 billion in 2005 represents 8 percent of revenue. If collected, this money could be used to build 316,000 low cost houses.

- Fourth, subsidies and sales tax forgone amounting to RM14.5 billion is sufficient to reduce the fiscal deficit from 3.8% of GDP to 0.7% of GDP for 2005. This would in turn strengthen the Government’s financial position.

- Fifth, a small deficit means that the Government can reduce its borrowings.

14. Should the Government use up contributions by PETRONAS to pay for subsidies?

• In fact, contributions by PETRONAS are sufficient to fully cover fuel subsidies.

• However, spending on subsidies are one-off expenditures which do not generate further income for the nation and its people. Although the Government could fund increased subsidies, it would not be the most prudent course of action as it would adversely affect funding for other productive projects.

• If the rakyat and Government can share the cost of rising fuel prices, thus reducing the need for subsidies, a part of the contributions from PETRONAS can instead be directed to generate new sources of income.

15. PETRONAS profits have increased due to rising oil prices. Shouldn’t PETRONAS contribute more to absorb the cost of rising fuel prices?

• Since its establishment in 1974 PETRONAS has made significant contributions to the nation’s development. During the financial year 2004/2005 it contributed RM31 billion in the form of taxes, dividends and royalties. This was an increase of 47% over the previous year’s contribution. This amount represents 53% of PETRONAS’ gross profits of RM59 billion for the year 2004/2005.

• PETRONAS only controls 30% of the Malaysia retail petroleum market while the remainder is held by competitors like Shell, Esso, Caltex, BP, Mobil and Projet. This means that if PETRONAS were to subsidise fuel prices in full, it would effectively be paying these foreign companies too.

• In Malaysia, PETRONAS owns 3 refineries with a combined capacity of 256,000 barrels per day (bpd), or 47% of the total national output. The remaining 53% is provided by refineries owned by Shell (155,000 bpd), Exxon-Mobil (88,000 bpd) and ConocoPhillips (48,000 bpd). As Malaysia consumes 520,000 barrels of oil per day, it is obvious that in order to meet this demand we need to rely on refineries belonging to international oil companies too.

• PETRONAS also subsidizes natural gas in this country. This subsidy amounted to RM25 billion since May 1997. For the power sector, the price of gas is fixed at RM6.40 per Million British Thermal Unit (mmbtu) compared to the commercial price of RM25.70 per mmbtu. This low price has enabled Malaysia to maintain electricity tariffs at reasonable levels.

16. What would happen if PETRONAS were to use all its profits to provide subsidies?

• PETRONAS is a business entity with domestic and international operations. If a substantial portion of its profits were used to provide subsidies it might be perceived as an irresponsible company, thus affecting its credibility. This could result in it being downgraded by international rating agencies.

• PETRONAS’ primary role is to manage and preserve our country’s oil and gas resources. In order to achieve this, profits must be reinvested into exploration activities both domestically and internationally. In addition, profits should also be spent on research and development.

• In the financial year 2004/2005 PETRONAS spent 61% of its total investments, or RM10.7 billion in exploration activities. If there are no new oil discoveries, Malaysia will become a net importer of oil by 2009.

• Such investments in exploration have resulted in annual increases of oil reserves by 2 – 3% annually. Clearly, this would not be possible if PETRONAS uses all its profits for subsidies.

17. What options are open to the Government in addressing the increase in oil prices?

• The Government has three options:

- To maintain the retail price of petroleum despite rising international market prices.

This would require the Government to increase subsidies and taxes forgone to match the rise in product cost, resulting in an even larger gap between subsidised and market prices of fuel. This would result in less money available for development and would impose severe strains on the Government’s financial position; or

- To completely remove subsidies and reimpose sales taxes; thus allowing fuel prices to be determined solely by market forces. If this is done, there will be no disparity between retail prices in Malaysia and world market prices. This option would allow the Government to use savings from subsidies to fund development. However, consumers would have to bear the full brunt of price increases and the Government might be perceived as being insensitive to their needs; or finally

- To gradually reduce subsidies; as has been done in recent months. This middle path involves the sharing of burden between the Government and consumer. In this option consumers pay slightly more for fuel while the
Government continues to provide subsidies. By increasing prices gradually, consumers will be able to adjust their expenditure accordingly.

• The Government is of the view that the gap between domestic retail and world prices should be reduced gradually. From the three options listed above, the third is the best. The Government will continue to provide subsidies while the consumer contributes by sharing some of the burden.

18. What steps are the Government taking to encourage the use of alternative energy sources?

• The Government is encouraging the use of natural gas vehicles (NGV). Incentives include:

o A discount of 50% for road tax of monogas vehicles and 25% for bi-fuel (diesel) and dual-fuel (petrol) vehicles; and

o Fixing the price of NGV at about half that of petrol pump prices.

• The Government is also encouraging the use of renewable energy under the Small Renewable Energy Programme (SREP), for the generation of electricity under 10 MW using biomass, landfill gas and mini-hydro.

• Hydroelectric power is being developed in Bakun which has a capacity of 2,400 MW. This project is due for completion in 2010.

• The Government intends to introduce the use of green fuels such as biodiesel, using palm oil.

19. As consumers, what role can the rakyat play?

• Following oil price increases certain traders may take the opportunity to profiteer. As such, the rakyat must be prudent and smart in their spending.

• It is also good practice for shoppers and customers to compare prices and the quality of goods between shops prior to making purchases. Such buying habits will contribute directly to improved family finances.

• Through prudent planning and spending, consumers will also prevent wastage.

• The transportation sector constitutes 41% of energy consumption. With prior planning of trips, car pooling and the use of public transport, the expenditure on fuel could be reduced.

20. What measures need to be taken by the rakyat?

• The rakyat should realize that Malaysia could be completely without oil in 19 years. Therefore, we must be prudent in our use of oil resources. We must find ways to reduce our dependency on oil and should be prudent in its use and avoid wastage. We should consider using alternative energy sources such as biofuel.

• Some countries have already implemented radical energy conservation measures. Malaysians have to be prudent in their consumption of energy and should support the Government’s actions in energy efficiency and saving measures.

• The Government will go down hard on irresponsible traders who profiteer from the current situation. Consumers can play a crucial role by reporting unethical practices by traders to the relevant authorities. Traders and businessmen on their part must be responsible and not exploit the public by raising the price of goods and services indiscriminately.

M'SIAN OIL SUBSIDY: MY TURN AROUND PERSPECTIVE

I (and few others) have just been given some (informal) thorough and detailed explanations regarding our OIL AND ITS SUBSIDISATION by some well informed and well involved (in the oil industry) people. The explanations were well and kindly presented, with few rounds of ‘Teh Tarik’ making its ever needed presence on the table.

I am NOW more than satisfied of the whole thing, thus shall too do my part to help others to understand the current issue, better, hopefully. Although I did have some arguments (or suggestions rather) with those guys, on how to improve the current mechanism used by the involved parties and authorities. But of course la…I am mister nobody who would be able to channel those thoughts to the intender. More so, those ideas of mine, maybe, probably, worth nothing or nothing new at all to them. BUT still, the govt has to do something more or introduce more approach that would help to ease the people’s burden. This is a MUST. REGARDLESS of how true and bad can a consequence be to this country IF the 45 years ol’ subsidisation is to continue.

Its too early in the morning now. Forgive me for not elaborating or sharing further. I will…but in another time and given opportunity, perhaps. As for now, i am too tired, too sleepy and too late for my Subuh prayer.

M'SIAN OIL SUBSIDY: FUELING THE MAVERICKS IN STREET PROTEST

Thousands protested right after Friday prayer marching from Kg Bahru mosque towards KLCC but diverted their supposed route due to Police road-blocking hence headed Jln Tuanku Abdul Rahman and ended there with no reports of any incident whatsoever.

The protest was all about the recent increment of fuel (petrol and diesel) prices which led to other services and goods prices being increased too. While the increased of fuel was much seen as the current government fault of not acting and structuring it wisely, others increased items should also be blamed on UNSCRUPULOUS TRADERS AND PROFITEERS taking advantage of the current scenario. But amazingly they too took part in this protest while racking some amazing Ringgits from unfortunate others, days before and surely days to come.

As seen, although the issue that brought the people marching out of the mosque is clear enough; the motives of CERTAIN PROMINENT INDIVIDUALS collaborating and organizing the protest are without haze, unclear and much less associated to the current propagated and voiced issue. The bearing slogans on almost all the placards were all politically in sense and nature. It was another MILESTONE for some POLITICAL HUNGER MAVERICKS who themselves, like many other irresponsible traders and profiteers; are taking advantage of the people misery for their own personal gains.

The current protest will not solved anything. It wont ring anything new to a government which knew almost everything including the people’s suffering. Instead the current protest showed us what maturity and mind does one leader has when comes to initiate and help the Rakyat. And sadly to some (who lead and organized the protest), they don’t have the slightest idea as to what would ease the suffering of the Rakyat other than “CRY HAVOC AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR”.

If these so-called mavericks really, I meant really want to STRIKE daring and deafening message to the current government, they should themselves and tell others to stop using PETRONAS until the government reaches out to their demand. Afterall, PETRONAS is much in the current happening too. Im NOT SUGGESTING them to do so, but im TELLING them that pulling the Rakyat into participating in Street Protest is a NO and will only add more miseries to Millions others silence Rakyat who had enough suffering and in much needed of better levelled, compassionate and brilliant heads to engage and suggest to the current government of methods that would help all, in a better and civilised conference of environment.

We should be more focussed on how to help ourselves and the government too, in rendering our services and knowledge which then hopefully can be accepted and embraced by this weak government smarties of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. We should forced the government to accept more participations from the public and scholars in addressing the current issue. We should forced the government to sacrifice some unworthy policies and practises surrounding the oil saga, to get the Rakyat to now learn to sacrifice their long beloving relationship with subsidisation, in return.

M'SIAN OIL SUBSIDY: A CONFUSE QUESTION OF AN ALREADY CONFUSED PHENOMENA

The sudden rise of petrol and diesel prices were nothing short of a shocker for the reasons of firstly when it was (as announced) supposed to be done somewhere in August (refer to Dato Shahrir), not right while we were sleeping and secondly the margin of the increment for both the items for example petrol increment at a whooping 78 sen to RM2.70/litre from the previous RM1.92/litre.

I came across an article written by Tun Mahathir on the matter of OUR OIL, THE SUBSIDY AND THE SUDDEN RISES OF ITS PRICE. (refer here).

And one thing that interested me, was the mentioned of an approximately 400,000 BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL segmented for Malaysian consumptions. Mind us, that Tun is the current adviser to Petronas. Hence, he may well knows more than what meet the eye.

But to be franked, till now I still do not understand how and why the so-called mechanism of 400,000 barrels of crude oil produced and allocated for Malaysian by our dearest Petronas, daily; ends up with us Malaysians, BE MADE TO PAY AT AND ACCORDING to the current world’s gross market price of refined (processed) fuel which stands at (according to our know-how Johorean MInister) RM3.00/litre. Wasn’t it, the 400,000 barrels of our homely milked and made product, supposed to be FREE from global market interpretations (and effects) OR else it wouldn’t be ours to begin with? Would the cost of refining and processing crude oil in our own country with our own facilities, reaches up to RM3.00 for exact litre of consumption? That cant possibly be, right? Or was it a practice everywhere in the world, for a govt owned oil producing company to return (sell is the right word) the people’s treasure to the people (and govt) at a cost equivalents to the fluctuating price of world’s oil market? What rational does that constitutes? Because I cant find the reason as to why the govt has to subsidise our own plundered oil by the govt’s own company UNLESS the playing (and business) rules affecting this commodity’s trade (regardless of where it comes and goes) are of that it goes by not just the world’s standards, but also the world’s prices.

In layman terms, WE ARE BUYING IMPORTED OIL AT IMPORTED PRICE EVEN IF THAT SAD DISGUSTED OIL CAME JUST OFF THE COAST OF TERENGGANU.

I could be wrong, but it looks like Petronas is charging us every dollar and cent of world’s currency with no exceptions as to where the oil came from and who the 400,000 barrels consumers were.

So the QUESTION is, WHY DO WE HAVE TO LIVE BY THIS RULE IN OUR OWN TURF WHEN THE RULE FOR ONCE, CAN BE CHANGED AS IT IS OUR OWN PRODUCT WITHIN OUR GOVERNING JURISDICTIONS AND TERMS?

WHY do we have to pay for something that rightly, supposedly and beneficially ours AT THE CURRENT WORLD’S MARKET PRICE? I may be no Einstein, but theoretically, fixing the allocated 400,000 barrels each at a price which is much lower than the world’s price and acceptable to both the Govt and the people (consumers), by Petronas, can of course be done and making sense, right? And too, it wont makes Petronas goes bling, broke and bankrupts. And surely the government too and its think-tank at ISIS and EPU can come out with a better scheme to at least temporarily accommodates its own people. At least better than the marginally little proportion of the so-called reduced and refunded Road Taxes.

I agree that Malaysian cant be taught and pampered all while long till eternity with oil subsidisation. Malaysian needs to be educate to accept the harsh realities which boggled the world around us. And we don’t expect to live with this cruel kindness of subsidisation, forever. Especially when crude oil supply in Malaysia is becoming thinner and thinner by day. BUT education needs and will takes time. Its not an overnite matter liked the flip-flop's announcement of the sudden oil price hiked by our learnt minister. Encouraging Malaysian to be better prepared and understood, is to gradually and wisely phases-out the subsidisations. Not by strangling us with the shock of an electrifying magnitude which made some unfortunate thousands Malaysians became BROKE, the day after. We haven’t had enough of AIR inhaled getting over the recent cooking oil and rice issues. What more is there left, when suddenly, WE HAVE TO LEARN TO NOW START BREATHING CARBON DIOXIDE INSTEAD…IN ORDER TO LIVE.

THE SOUND OF SILENCE WORRYING KARPAL

The people of Malaysia were upset with YB Karpal Singh (from DAP) for his remarks made in reference to the Sultan of Perak involvements in the controversial reinstatement of Datuk Jamry Sury as the Islamic Religious Affairs Department Head of Perak . Voicing the same sentiment in condemning Karpal was (worthless to mention) the UMNO of course. Too, within expectation, were the GPMS, Belia 4B and many other Malay based organizations. PAS following the lead of its Rakyat who openly too criticized Karpal; can be expected to show the same kind in silent anxious. Maybe (PAS) waiting for further exploiting and insulting by Karpal, before stamping their HUDUD on that ‘Man of the Hour’.

What surprise many is the hiding and calculating (and cautious) stand taken by Karpal owns Party, the DAP. Not a single word or statement is made by anyone among the many vocal and vibrant leaders including the ever-so-hot and provocative Lim Kit Siang in defense of Karpal or the issue in hand. As quoted by Karpal himself (in a press conference at his office in Kuala Lumpur yesterday) saying “My own party leaders have not condemned me for saying what I said. On the other hand, they have not come out openly to support me, which is unfortunate,”. “When it comes to the crunch, the party must, should stand by its chairman as long as the chairman is telling the truth,” he added. source

It wasn’t just you Mr Karpal, in bewilderment. Im afraid, so did thousands of others in DAP. Or perhaps you were indeed making a wrong move a bit too early on your own afterall.

The bigger surprise came in the shape of a Malay majority based party called PKR. They are not just being so absolutely surprisingly quiet on this matter. But they seemed to be almost taken aback in horrifying manner and taken by surprised out of their other main agendas in progress by this unnecessarily initiated issue by Karpal. To further the confusions and heads-banging, the issue was of that involving both the Monarchy (Sultan) and Malays. This is a definite problem for PKR. And we can easily understand WHY. For the very reason of their stated 17 commandments (Matlamat & Asas Perjuangan PKR) which spelt the need for the Sultan as follows: (under subject No 2): Menyemai rasa hormat untuk sistem Raja Berperlembagaan, memperkukuhkan Demokrasi Berparlimen dan menyokong hak dan kuasa rakyat, serentak dengan usaha berterusan untuk meningkatkan rangka politik negara sesuai dengan harapan dan kepentingan rakyat; source

And for the very reason of protecting both the Malays ownership and influence in PKR. Thus to support Karpal shall be seen as against the Sultan, the commandment of the party (Matlamat & Asas Perjuangan PKR) and the majority of its Malay members who do still have the highest regards and respects for the Sultans.

To not supporting Karpal shall be misconstrued by the non-malays (and members of DAP) as untrustworthy partner whom still has more of UMNO traits and ways of doing thing inside it afterall. But of course, PKR can take relief by pointing out the fact that nothing has been done by DAP itself. So why must PKR and PAS bother to initiate any.

So the game of silent has now begins. From a mere smarting and fishing for popularity by the weary Karpal, to now of those bigger consequences and stakes involving not just himself, most probably in court, but also the bond, trust, principles and ethics of the so-called DAP, PKR and PAS COALITION. Well COLLIDING sounds better and about coming too.

Until then…expect this SOUNDS OF SILENCE to remain SILENT on the outside but not the inside. But more important than anything else...ENJOY THE SILENCE.

KHALID: NO CUT IN RATES THIS YEAR

Ratepayers in Selangor can forget about the 20 per cent reduction in assessment and the 10 per cent reduction in commercial property tax this year as the state government will not be able to deliver on its promise made in the recent general election.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said it was not feasible to implement the rate cuts as the state's economy had not reached a desirable level.
Any reduction this year could have a negative financial impact on the state government.

'DO NOT PROMISE WHAT YOU CANT DELIVER'

Its the most simple and correctly proven and oftenly used WISDOM in the world. 'DO NOT PROMISE WHAT YOU CANT DELIVER'.

At the end of the day, REALITY bites.

Khalid was right that it was not feasible to implement the rate cuts as the state's economy had not reached a desirable level. Not Feasible means it is wisely not to do the tax cut. But technically, it can be done.

So now that Khalid and co. have the chance to administer a state; he now knows how difficult it was since, to really governs a state. The act of balancing expenditures and incomes. Promoting healthy financial concepts and controls while keeping viable revenues intact and growing. And to please the Rakyat and fulfilling own political needs and bank's account.

BLOGGER RAJA PETRA FACES SEDITION CHARGE

Blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin is expected to be charged with sedition at the Kuala Lumpur Court in Jalan Duta today.

The 58-year-old confirmed he received a telephone call from a police officer last night informing him to be at the court at 9.30am.

"I was told by an officer to appear in court to be charged with sedition with regard to an article posted on my website."The article he was referring to was "Let's send the Altantuya murderers to hell". It was posted on www.malaysia-today.net on April 25. The article contained allegations involving people whose names were given as well as events that allegedly took place just before Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu's murder.

Raja Petra was summoned to the Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department headquarters on Friday to have his statement recorded. He was accompanied by his lawyer, William Leong.

The two came out some two hours later and Leong said that his client refused to answer questions until they were shown the police report lodged against him.

GET IT DONE AND DONE WITH HIM!

If Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) has the proof of Najib definite involvements, then make the stand (and proved) in the Court of Law. He amongst all people, has the highest numbers of collaborators and Lawyers (and political associates too) to assist him in doing so. Why engages in public opinion for such case that can result in someone else humiliations? Whats the need in doing so? Whats the catch?

If Raja Petra regards our court of law as shameful and untrusted, hence did thousands of unfortunate others. Not just his ever-so-popular Mr Sharibuu.

Surely with such intensity (and energy) in one man, Raja Petra; with whistle blowers and informers surrounding him, the truth about Malaysians killed in police custodies can easily be ripped open and made public by our dear Raja Petra. Why not do that? Why the double standard then? Were common Malaysians any less important than his favorite, Najib Tun Razak?

If Raja Petra cant find Judiciary platform that suits his highly intellectual thinking and indepth agenda, than fight for the establishment of one. Surely it will take time and efforts, but the whole idea and fight, efforts and scavenging shall meant priceless to million others in vain. Thats a far worthed contributing than anything others.

Just because we hate Najib and our sad judiciary system, it does not give us the absolute right to put everything in one dangling, hanging basket and smashes it to the ground. What more to humiliate a person (Najib) in such a writing which contained fragile and baseless accusations without the mere concern for facts and too, the respect for the court of law.

If we shouted demanding reformation, top to bottom, we should also be prepared to reform our thinking and action. PERIOD.

Im deeply distressed and sad with this kind of people who are taking advantage of the late Altantuya (Aminah) and her family, for the benefits of their CLEAR AND DANGEROUS AGENDA. And knowing Raja Petra, its even more so.

He's not above the LAW. No one does. And he should be made to bear the responsibility of his action IF he's found to be wronged.

DID BALKIS HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE RM9.9MIL?

Questions are being asked whether it was correct for the Wives of Selangor Assemblymen and MPs Welfare and Charity Organisation (Balkis) to transfer out the RM9.9mil it had in its coffers a few days after the state fell to the Opposition. Defending the money transfer, then president Datin Seri Zahrah Kechik said she had the legal right because her husband Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo was still the caretaker Selangor Mentri Besar at that time. Dr Mohd Khir said the money was “temporarily transferred” to the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti) to ensure the money would be spent according to Balkis' purpose, namely for the welfare of children. The state government, however, is questioning the transfer of the money and seeking legal advice. It has also asked the Registrar of Societies to put on hold the dissolution of Balkis, which the committee, led by Zahrah, also unanimously decided to do. The Bar Council is of the opinion that Balkis' action could be tantamount to criminal breach of trust. (source)

They are RIGHT lawfully, WRONG ethically and morally. While the money came from various donations and contributions (none accumulated to any state govt allocation), the patronage of the govt of Selangor and its agencies were definitely there in used. Its like handing someone the Selangor MB's calling card, to get the calling for contributions, and sorts. BALKIS were formed by a group of people. And by law, this group of people has the right to de-registered the association, if they immorally wishes so. BALKIS is not part of any Selangor state govt agencies. But the money they collected for the people of Selangor, using the Selangor state govt as its front, ethically should belong to the use of the people of Selangor. It should stay where it is. In the present Bank Account. So did the association, supposedly. The money should not be transferred and BALKIS not being dissolved. This is just another wicked political game in the face of public betrayal and trust. While those proposed would not want the newly Selangor's ruling party to have easy hands on money, those opposed would definitely want easy hands on making this into a huge political drama and what could be a certain victory.

NORAINI AHMAD TIDAK AKAN PERTAHANKAN JAWATAN DALAM UMNO

Datuk Noraini Ahmad yang tidak akan mempertahankan jawatan Ketua Puteri UMNO pada pemilihan parti Disember ini, enggan menamakan sesiapa untuk menggantikan tempatnya. ''Saya tidak mahu menamakan sesiapa bagi jawatan itu serta mempengaruhi ahli-ahli mengenai pengganti saya. Biarkan mereka tentukan sendiri," katanya. Noraini yang juga merupakan Timbalan Menteri Sumber Manusia bakal melepaskan jawatan itu kerana telah melepasi had umur 40 tahun. Beliau berkata, ahli Puteri UMNO bebas memilih ketua baru mereka sama ada secara lantikan atau pertandingan pada perhimpunan agung parti itu nanti. ''Bagaimanapun, pemilihan secara pelantikan adalah cara yang paling ideal untuk dilaksanakan. ''Walaupun seseorang itu boleh bertanding apabila mendapat dua pencalonan, cara yang paling baik bagi mengisi jawatan itu adalah melalui lantikan,'' katanya. Menurutnya, ramai ahli pergerakan itu berkelayakan memimpin pergerakan tersebut, sementara ahli-ahli Puteri pula telah cukup matang untuk memilih calon terbaik untuk mewakili mereka. Saya melihat langkah Datuk Noraini Ahmad untuk tidak mempertahankan jawatan selaku Ketua Pergerakan Puteri adalah suatu tindakan yang bijak demi memberi IDEALOGI contoh kepada pucuk pimpinan UMNO yang lain supaya melaksanakan perubahan sepertimana tuntutan kebanyakan ahli UMNO demi perpaduan dan kekuatan parti. Tindakan beliau itu akan memberi ruang untuk DEMOKRASI bertapak semula di dalam UMNO. Cuma persoalannya kini, kemanakah arah tuju Noraini Ahmad di dalam UMNO berakhirnya nanti pemilihan UMNO Disember ini. Kerana ruang bagi bekas-bekas pemimpin Puteri UMNO untuk bersaing terutamanya dengan Wanita UMNO bagi sebarang jawatan tertinggi UMNO, adalah jelas amat sukar. Kecuali Azalina Othman yang sentiasa beruntungkan sokongan orang-orang tertentu, nama Noraini Ahmad mungkin akan berkubur di dalam UMNO untuk selamanya.

MCA CHIEF REFUTES SPY UNIT CLAIM

KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting denied that he has set up a spy unit in the party to take out his political rivals. Commenting on accusations by party vice-president Datuk Donald Lim who claimed that he was being targeted by such a unit, Ong said the claim was hogwash. "That is making something out of nothing. Whoever said such a thing must be held responsible for it," Ong said. He said naming him the kingpin of a team of political saboteurs was a very serious accusation, but he denied that disciplinary action would be taken against Lim. "What is more important is finding out how such a thought could even be conceived," he said. "There is no place for such unhealthy beliefs in the party. The issue must be cleared up as quickly as possible because it is very unfair to the reputation of the person accused." He added that a panel of party veterans would handle the issue. (source)

We would definitely expecting such to happen in a 'James Bond 007' movie or else we wouldnt have had spent $8.00 on a ticket just to watch such making, on screen and left the comfort of our so homely softly sofas; so that we can claimed to be among the first lucky few to get to see the espionage and sabotage, before million others. But can we really buy this non-fiction happening (and lurking) in any of our now so comical and fictional Political parties? Could this be part of the larger propaganda product to relinquish Ong Ka Ting from the MCA highest post? What would Ong Ka ting gained by establishing such unit, if it ever did exist? More so, what is there for Donald Lim to come up with such accusation? My take is simple. Such accusation whether is true or not, intentionally feasted and pressed open for public judgments and condemnations, was a clear signal of a Tsunami is happening in MCA.

HURAIAN BERNAS, TEPAT DAN PADAT MENGENAI ISU BABI

Semua kita sedia maklum terdapat begitu banyak isu-isu untuk ditangani oleh semua pihak di

dan Selangor khasnya. Dalam kontek kemasyarakatan, keadaan begitu mendesak untuk kita menyelesaikan isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan integriti kaum, masalah sosial dan jenayah. Mengikut stastik dan maklum balas daripada akar umbi, inilah antara isu-isu yang menjadi keutamaan untuk di selesaikan oleh pihak pemerintah. Tetapi setakat ini, selepas PRU, kita tidak nampak lagi penekanan yang begitu serius diberikan terhadap isu-isu yang disebutkan di atas.

Dalam perkembangan terbaru di Selangor yang diwar-warkan oleh semua pihak sekarang ini malah YB sendiri ialah berkenaan dengan isu projek ternakan babi yang dikatakan akan dibuat dalam skala yang besar tetapi secara sistematik di Selangor. Pelbagai pihak telah memberikan pandangan dan maklum balas tentang isu berkenaan. Tidak dapat dinafikan isu ini juga merupakan antara isu yang berada di tangga teratas kerana ia berkaitan dengan soal alam sekitar , kesihatan serta sensitiviti masyarakat Malaysia, khasnya penduduk Islam. Sesungguhnya isu babi boleh dikatakan telah berlarutan sekian lama dan merimaskan pelbagai pihak. Permasalahan yang berlegar sekarang adalah penternakan babi yang berleluasa tanpa kawalan yang menyumbang kepada pelbagai permasalahan seperti yang kita sedia maklum.

Sebelum kita pergi lebih jauh dalam menangani isu ini, amatlah perlu kepada kita untuk memahami keperluan kepada babi itu sendiri. Dengan ini, ia akan memudahkan kita untuk mencari pendekatan yang lebih sesuai berdasarkan keperluannya. Tidak dapat dinafikan bahawa daging babi merupakan sejenis makanan yang lazat bagi sesetengah pihak. Tetapi dalam masa yang sama ia juga merupakan sejenis makanan yang lebih banyak membawa kepada kemudaratan dari segi kesihatan dan pembentukan peribadi seseorang. Kita sedia maklum bahawa babi merupakan sejenis binatang yang begitu kebal daripada sebarang jenis penyakit dan pada masa yang sama ia juga bersifat pengotor. Jika diperhatikan kepada tabiat semulajadi kehidupan dan pemakanan binatang ini, ia amatlah berlainan dengan binatang-binatang lain.
Dengan sifat semulajadinya yang kebal daripada sebarang penyakit dan tabiatnya, jadi tidak hairanlah sekiranya binatang ini disinggahi, menyebar dan menjadi tempat pembiakan pelbagai jenis virus dan cacing. Pelbagai kajian secara saintifik telah dijalankan berkenaan dengan babi dan kesinambungannya dengan penyebaran dan pembiakan kepada pelbagai jenis virus dan cacing.

Kajian dan penyelidikan berkenaan dengan babi telah dijalankan berabad-abad yang lalu dan ia telah diperakui oleh kebanyakan pakar yang pengambilan babi sebagai sumber pemakanan lebih membawa kepada keburukan. Salah satu huraian tentang keburukan babi telah dibuat oleh John Harvey Kellogg (1897), pengasas produk pemakanan Kellog Corn Flake. Kajian oleh Alix Fano (M.A.), Murry J. Cohen (M.D.), Marjorie Cramer (M.D.,F.A.C.S.), Ray Greek (M.D.), dan Stephen R. Kaufman (M.D.) mendapati antara PENYAKIT-PENYAKIT ini ada yang BOLEH MEMBAWA MAUT, contohnya leptospirosis. Ia boleh menyebabkan kerosakan hati dan buah pinggang.
TOKOH-TOKOH PERUBATAN CHINA juga tidak kurang mengatakan bahayanya babi. Yan Show Tan adalah satu jurnal kesihatan Cina yang terkenal suatu masa dahulu mengatakan: “Semua daging adalah berkhasiat MELAINKAN DAGING BABI.”
Sun See Mao ialah seorang TABIB TERKENAL DINASTI TANG menulis dalam bukunya Sheh Shen Lu (Catatan-catatan Kesihatan) mengatakan: “Daging babi MERANGSANG PENYAKIT-PENYAKIT LAMA, menyebabkan KEMANDULAN, PENYAKIT TULANG dan ASMA.”
Lee Shih Ch’en pula seorang TABIB TERKENAL DINASTI MING yang mengarang lebih kurang 50 jilid buku-buku perubatan. Pendapatnya tentang daging babi adalah: “Ia boleh MENDATANGKAN KESAN BAHAYA.”
Kesan-kesan yang dinyatakan di atas bukanlah kes-kes baru kerana ia telah banyak berlaku di banyak negara termasuk negara kita sendiri seperti yang kita telah sedia maklum.

Kita juga tidak menafikan bahawa sumber makanan yang lain juga boleh membawa bahaya jika diambil dalam kuantiti yang berlebihan atau dengan diet tidak teratur. Tetapi ia tidaklah seperti bahaya yang dibawa oleh babi. Babi secara nyata dan jelas berbeza dengan sumber makanan lain.

Dalam kontek kerohanian pula, kita sedia maklum bahawa kita terdiri daripada badan(body) dan jiwa/roh(soul). Unsur-unsur kandungan babi dalam badan boleh mengurangkan perasaan malu (dalam melakukan perkara yang tidak elok) dalam diri seseorang selain daripada menyemai perasaan bongkak, tidak berperikemanusiaan dan tamak haloba. Tetapi ia tidak sampai ke tahap kita boleh mengatakan yang bahawa seseorang yang memakan daging babi dia semestinya berperangai begitu kerana ramai juga manusia yang tidak memakan babi berperangai yang tidak elok. Perangai buruk boleh disebabkan oleh banyak faktor. Tetapi kita boleh mengambil iktibar bahawa pengambilan unsur-unsur babi secara konsisten boleh mempengaruhi komposisi rembesan kimia dalam badan seterusnya mempengaruhi cara kita berfikir, perasaan dan tindakan kita. Salah satu tulisan yang dibuat mengaitkan babi dan kejiwaan telah dikarang oleh Rashid Shamsi dalam The Muslim World League Journal, Rajab 1420 - October 1999. Beliau juga ada memetik pepatah Inggeris yang berbunyi 'a man becomes what he eats'.

Dalam kontek keagamaan pula, agama-agama samawi iaitu Islam, Yahudi (Jew) dan Kristian (Old Testament) begitu jelas memperkatakan tentang pengharaman babi. Tetapi ramai penganut-penganut Kristian telah mengabaikan perintah itu. Dalam kontek Islam, segala bentuk pengharaman termasuk babi adalah berkait rapat secara ilmiah dan saintifik dan kita diperintah untuk mendalami dan mencari hikmah-hikmah di sebalik apa yang diperintahkan menggunakan akal fikiran yang dikurniakan.

Di peringkat global sekarang, banyak negara-negara cuba untuk mengurangkan pengambilan babi malahan Australia telah menguatkuasakan pengharaman penternakan babi di sesetengah tempat untuk mengurangkan jumlah babi. Jiran-jiran kita seperti Singapura dan Hong Kong juga telah dikatakan mengambil langkah untuk tidak membenarkan kemasukan babi hidup ke dalam negara mereka. Beliau malahan secara nyata menyarankan adalah lebih baik berhenti daripada membiakkan babi dan biarkan ia mencari tempatnya sendiri untuk hidup.

Jadi berdasarkan fakta-fakta di atas adalah jelas kepada kita bahawa babi banyak membawa kepada keburukan dan ketidak harmonian. Jadi berbalik kepada isu babi di Malaysia amnya dan Selangor khasnya. Apakah pendekatan yang harus kita ambil terhadap isu babi ini? Kalau dilihat kepada aspek-aspek negatif yang di bawa angkara babi ini, adalah lebih baik diharamkan terus babi ini dalam bentuk apa pun baik penternakan, pembiakan dan pemakanan khasnya. Tetapi apakah wajar kita berbuat demikian? Jawapan kepada soalan ini adalah bergantung kepada tujuan aktiviti-aktiviti tersebut.

Dalam kontek penternakan, ia lebih kepada satu industri untuk tujuan komersial. Jadi bolehkah kita menghapuskan industri ini jika ia untuk tujuan komersial semata-mata. Jawapannya kenapa tidak. Tetapi bagaimana nasib terhadap penternak-penternak babi itu. Sebenarnya, jawapan itu telah ada. Kita lihat bagaimana kita menangani isu penanam-penanam tembakau atau isu-isu pengambilan tanah demi sesuatu tujuan. Kita boleh memberi pampasan dan menawarkan peluang-peluang lain. Jadi apakah pendekatan seperti ini tidak boleh dilakukan dalam isu babi ini? Jika kita boleh mempertimbangkan untuk membunuh babi bila keadaan mendesak seperti bila penularan wabak penyakit. Jadi dalam keadaan terkawal, kenapa kita tidak berkata untuk menghapuskan penternakan babi. Kita tidak perlu membunuh babi itu. Ia boleh dilakukan secara jualan pukal kepada pihak-pihak yang sanggup membelinya. Apakah kita dikatakan kejam bila berbuat demikian? Atau tidak kejamkah kita bila membiarkan sesuatu yang kita maklumi berbahaya dan boleh membawa mudarat biarpun dikatakan dibuat dalam keadaan terkawal terus berada dalam masyarakat kita? Tidakkah ia seumpama 'api dalam sekam'? Jika ia membawa kepada kebaikan dan amat perlu tidak mengapa, kita mungkin sanggup untuk mengambil risikonya. Tapi perlukah kita berbuat demikian untuk babi? Jawapannya TIDAK.

Dalam kontek kemasyarakatan dan intergriti, kita perlu memikirkan tentang jurang perbezaan. Kita seharusnya mengurangkan jurang perbezaan antara semua kaum. Dalam masyarakat Malaysia khasnya, penduduk Islam begitu menitik berat perihal soal halal dan haram. Babi seperti yang telah kita semua maklum dalam Islam merupakan unsur haram atau maaf untuk disebut merupakan najis berat. Jadi secara tidak langsung ini merupakan satu perkara yang mereka begitu pertimbangkan bilamana menghadiri majlis-majlis atau keraian yang dianjurkan oleh orang bukan Islam. Itu baru dalam kontek kehidupan harian. Bagaimana pula dalam kontek pertanian dan perniagaan bilamana petani-petani bukan Islam secara terang-terangan mengguna pakai dan menghasilkan produk-produk yang disenaraikan dalam kategori haram? Perlukah kita menggadaikan semua itu dengan menambahkan jurang perbezaan demi untuk memelihara babi?

Berdasarkan analogi di atas adalah perlu untuk mengurangkan bilangan babi seterusnya membasminya. Bukan untuk menstabilkannya kerana risiko untuk ia berkembang bakal terbuka luas. Semua telah tahu kadar pembiakan babi terlalu cepat dan tidak cerewet untuk hidup dalam apa keadaan sekalipun.

Tetapi bolehkah kita menghapuskan terus industri ini dalam masa yang singkat? Ya, jika semua penternak faham akan tujuan dan menerima alternatif dalam bentuk lain dan setuju dengan jumlah pampasan atau sebagainya yang diberikan.Tetapi ini mungkin tidak akan berlaku sepenuhnya kerana akan ada penternak yang tidak setuju dan berkemungkinan bertindak di luar batasan jika dipaksa. Jadi kepada mereka, syarat-syarat yang ketat seperti amalan kaedah sistematik adalah perlu dan had bilangan babi perlu dipatuhi. Konsep perladangan mereka juga perlulah bersifat tertutup jauh dari penempatan, punca air, takungan dan tidak mencemarkan alam sekitar. Tindakan tegas perlu diambil jika ia tidak dapat dilakukan. Sistematik dalam skala yang besar dengan sistematik dalam skala yang kecil adalah dua perkara yang berbeza. Dalam perkara negatif jika terpaksa dilakukan adalah elok menggunakan skala kecil kerana lebih senang untuk diuruskan malah untuk dibasmikan.

Dalam kontek negeri Selangor, langkah kerajaan untuk menempatkan penternakan babi di satu tempat yang luas dalam skala besar walaupun dikatakan akan dibuat secara sistematik adalah tidak wajar. Ini kerana tahap risikonya adalah amat tinggi dan bakal mengundang pelbagai masalah. Kita belum lagi dapat menguruskan sebuah incinerator untuk pembuangan sampah. Apakah kita mampu menguruskan ladang babi berkeluasan 300 ekar? Kita tidak perlu bersikap 'Malaysia Boleh' dalam hal ini. Apa yang perlu ialah pendekatan untuk mengurangkan seterusnya membasmi babi, bukan untuk menstabilkan jumlahnya apatah lagi menambah jumlahnya. Jika difikirkan dari segi keperluan apakah tiada makanan lain yang lebih berkhasiat dan ternyata bersih serta tidak menimbulkan sebarang keraguan. Cukuplah ia dijual sekadar untuk mereka-mereka yang tidak dapat meninggalkan langsung makanan itu atau untuk tujuan keraian dan bukan keperluan harian. Mengikut perangkaan, jumlah pelaburan yang bakal digunakan adalah RM 100 juta. Tidakkah lebih baik jika pelaburan sebegitu banyak digunakan untuk menjana sumber makanan lain seperti ikan, ayam, lembu dan sebagainya yang nyata jauh dari unsur was-was/haram dan dapat dimanfaati oleh semua pihak? Fikir-fikirkan lah. Tidak perlulah kita perjuangkan perkara yang negatif. Apa yang perlu dilakukan ialah mengurangkan babi seminima yang mungkin kearah membasminya. Tidak perlulah kita ke German semata-mata untuk belajar pengurusan babi kerana pakar dalam negera pun ada yang tidak kurang hebatnya, mungkin untuk skala kecil. Dan ini pun yang kita perlukan untuk memenuhi kehendak mereka yang betul-betul berkeinginan terhadap babi. Kerana kita percaya tidak ramai orang yang tidak boleh hidup tanpa babi.

Berkenaan dengan kelulusan yang telah diberikan oleh kerajaan yang lepas. Persoalannya, apakah ia tidak boleh diubah?

Kita tidak boleh mengharamkan terus babi untuk dimakan oleh mereka yang menpunyai hak ke atasnya. Tetapi kita boleh untuk menggalakkan mereka untuk mengurangkannya atau meninggalkannya seperti juga arak dan judi. Jadi dalam isu ini tidak timbul isu untuk menidakkan hak kepada mereka yang berhak. KHALID ASKED SELANGOR FM TO LEAVE BUILDING

Tan Sri Khalid, the MB of Selangor, said his request that he be allowed to explain Selangor’s development agenda over Selangor FM radio was still not being responded to after two weeks."I would like to spend about one hour a week to be interviewed over the radio so that I can tell the rakyat what are my vision and programmes for Selangor are.“I also suggested to them to open the programme for the people of Selangor to participate."It's already two-and-a-half weeks; if they remain non-committal, I don't want them to stay in the Selangor (state sectariat) office (building). The Selangor FM office (is) there and then they call themselves Radio Selangor. "If they call themselves radio non-Selangor, then they can find (office) somewhere else, that's how I feel," Abdul Khalid said.

I don’t see why such a good move and mooted idea from the administrator of a state in having once a week interview, over the progress of the state for the benefits of the Rakyat is not welcomed by the Ministry of Information, which has the jurisdiction over Selangor FM. Just because he is from the other side of the fence (Pakatan Rakyat), the thought of giving one (an hour a week cast) looks sinful and not justified to our dearest Minister Ahmad Shabery. Whats the problem? Whats to be afraid of? Selangor FM in doing justification to its patron (the Information Ministry and to escape any abusing by TS Khalid) can have a pre-prepared interviewing list of questions. Whats the fuss then?

Its about time, some loggerheads at Federal administrations, start to learn, understand and embrace the concept of sharing for the benefits of the Rakyat. Afterall, Selangor FM should belongs to the Rakyat, for the Rakyat. Not to any single party and people of shallow minded interest.

I WONT OVERSTAY AS PM, SAYS ABDULLAH

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi says he has no intention of overstaying as Prime Minister but wants to put all things in order before retiring. Abdullah, the Umno president and Barisan Nasional chairman, wants to put the party and ruling coalition on a stronger footing first. “I will retire one day. I will not stay any longer than I should. But there are things I would like to do now. Of course, I cannot leave at a time when the party is in this condition,” he said when asked if he had a succession plan in mind after naming Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as his successor. Abdullah said he had no intention of remaining as Prime Minister “for years”, adding: “Datuk Seri Najib understands more than you can understand it.”

This is so much so SUBJECTIVE. It was a kind likes a reasonable warm gesture put up for the Rakyat but sadly, not CONVINCING enough to calm and bring serenity back to the ever-so-green peaceful fields of Rakyat's thoughts, which had turned into a wild forest hardened by screens of mighty Oak trees thickening themselves from anything that sounds TOO GOOD, TOO EASY, TOO SWEET TO BE TRUE AND TOO SUBJECTIVE for a direct and realistic answer.

The very word ‘OVERSTAYING’ itself has its own interpretation (as a whole) and definition (as a take). The foremost conclusion to this timely gesture made by PM Abdullah was, of the simplest saying (and meaning) of “I AM STAYING PUT AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE” and “I DON’T CARE OTHER THAN OF MY OWNSELF”. The very two essences that don’t fit at all into the wishes of majority of the Rakyat. But, kudos to Abdullah in making the efforts to bring a sort of peace packaging both to the Rakyat and his deputy Najib Tun Razak (just in case he needs one to convince himself) by telling his deputy of his coming time of taking over the top seat. By making such statement, it too shows that he definitely knew what was going on (but still pretending to be somewhat blinded) and acknowledged the millions faces of UNHAPPY MALAYSIAN that wanted him to go. EVEN SO, hes still stood tall and kept feeding us with his INFAMOUS VERSE of the so-called UNFINISHED NATIONAL AGENDAS, which were trusted to him by the RAKYAT, decided then by the RAKYAT, for the comfort of the RAKYAT; and yet he CLEARLY AGAINST the RAKYAT when the obvious calls were for him to STEP DOWN. So when PM Abdullah said he has no intention of overstaying, he crystal clearly meant of ONE DEFINITE THING; that was to STILL STAYING till end of his own sweet time, of his own wish of course; not the RAKYAT wishes. SO AMUSING.

UP TO RELEVANT AGENCIES TO INVESTIGATE TUN MAHATHIR, SAYS ABDULLAH

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said today it was up to the relevant agency or department to take appropriate action on Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for alleged interference in the administration of justice when he was prime minister, if the allegations were true. He said any allegation or accusation backed by proof would be considered by the agency or department concerned for investigation and action. "If proven...we must not close eyes (and) say cannot (take action). If proven that it is (known), the matter must be considered by the government, important departments and agencies and if investigative action is needed, severe action must be taken. "That is the approach we take for everyone," he said. Abdullah said this to reporters after being asked about DAP chairman Karpal Singh calling on Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail to direct investigations into reports lodged against Dr Mahathir for alleged interference in the administration of justice.

This is actually the kind of episode we dont really need in such political period as now, in Malaysia; when and while other countries (especially the US and OIC nations) are pulling their eyes closely onto our lids. Watching to put holes of opportunities into our soil for that unseen agendas of theirs. PM Abdullah and Tun Mahathir had this long over-dued poker game to settle, and now it seems, the cards are all about to open. This duel between two mega-maniac UMNO personalities, is much expected and has long been waited by many celebrity-like leaders especially those from the newly-formed PAKATAN RAKYAT. But Abdullah, to instruct agencies to investigate Tun Mahathir is a game made by a looser not a fighter. Im sure if Tun wants to open the well secretly kept black-diaries of all and each UMNO leaders during his 22 years as the Boss; he would had UMNO tumbling down, even worst, the government of Malaysia. But then again, im sure he wont do that, because he was much part of the scam too then. But does Tun Mahathir Mohamad has anything to lose? Maybe NOT, but his sons (political and business-like) would. Although, i do disagree with some of the actions (and bilingual stands) taken by Tun against the very institution (UMNO) he once built and molded accordingly to his own successful standard and wishes; the very reason for Tun to do so and burning all bridges with PM Abdullah, is the very same reason shared and echoed by majority of the Rakyat (and UMNO members). But to some UMNO leaders whom, so damned worried by the relentless character assassinations by Tun on Abdullah Badawi (their Boss and President) and to take all arms against the former PM, is SOMEWHAT SURPRISING (and amusing) to me, since CHARACTER ASSASSINATION seems to be their best ever traits as UMNO politicians all this while. Bombarding whoever they like, whenever they want. KILLING not just those unfortunate others, rice and bowl (living), but also the killing-blow punches of MORALE AND FAMILY ATTACKS. Those UMNO leaders were HEARTLESS then, laughing at others that succumbed to their feet. But now the HEATS look too much to handle. Coming from an 80 years ol' heart-operated breathless Ol' HERO (a villain too) by the name Tun Mahathir, whom used to be among them; now against them. But trust me, Tun Mahathir is not without allies, both in and outside UMNO. The best thing for Abdullah Badawi to do now is to wait for the UMNO election, and lets UMNO decides. If he came out victorious, he then can shoves everything back into Mahathir's mouth. But if he lost, he might as well brings his son in law Khairy Jamaludin together with him, before the Ol' Man Tun Mahathir and the Rakyats and band of traitors of his so-called YES-MEN in UMNO, start another unforgiving chapter of character assassinations. Any way it may goes (win or lose), Abdullah is still the biggest looser.

ZAHID PROPOSES CONVENTION INSTEAD OF EGM AS SUGGESTED BY KU LI

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Zahid Hamidi accused Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah of taking advantage of the party’s hard-pressed situation by calling for an extraordinary general meeting.

Zahid, however, said the party should hold a convention for divisional representatives to meet and air their differences regarding the current state of the party. He said there were many differences of opinion at present. ”Having different opinions is fine according to Islam. However, there must be a point where people can agree. Don’t just make your own way,” he said. Zahid said much of the disagreement was tainted with emotion. ”Please reduce the emotion and increase the factual content that you put forward in your arguments,” he said. Zahid said the notion that Umno was “falling apart” was misconceived. The misconception came about because big names, like former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed, were attacking the party leadership. He said Dr Mahathir should respect the current leaders and office-holders. ”When he was PM, he didn’t like people making comments about him,” Zahid said. Zahid said calls made by people like Pahang’s Paya Besar Umno division chief Ahmad Tajudin Sulaiman, who said that the entire supreme council should resign, did not make sense. ”That’s a personal opinion. He’s probably frustrated that he wasn’t chosen to contest in Paya Besar,” he said. ”Asking people to resign won’t solve the problem,” Zahid said.

People might ask what the difference then between A CONVENTION (as proposed by Zahid) and AN EGM (as proposed by Tengku Razaleigh), since both sound very similar. And why is it so necessary for Ku Li and others alike, to press hard for the EGM? Well the big different is that, in an Extra Ordinary Meeting (EGM), a RESOLUTION CAN BE MADE AND PASSED by simple majority of members that represent their division's quota. So if the majority of them present, agreed to a resolution for example to remove the President and voted for it, then PM Abdullah has to resign as President of UMNO. That is why its IMPORTANT for some UMNO leaders and you know who, to voice out and encourage others to AGAINST such act of proposing an EGM. Although the matter shall be decided at a pre-determined meeting of UMNO Supreme Council at later date, the sentiment on giving a GREEN LIGHT on the propose EGM is a DEFINITE NO even among the neutral UMNO Supreme Council members. They view it as unnecessary because of the up-coming UMNO election starting this July at lower (Branch) level. Unfair it may sounds, its a good call to me. Majority UMNOs want a change especially at the top level. And come this December, they will have their shots at it. Why have the redundancy. But Zahid to accuse Ku Li of taking advantage is a RIDICULOUS OPINION. Especially from one as HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL and LOWLY CREDIBILITY as Zahid. Tell us one UMNO leaders who are not taking any advantage or opportunity for whatever agendas, good or bad, from the recent HORRIBLE, SPECTACULAR and UNBELIEVABLE (losing 4+1+1 states) PRU 12 results? The results showed that Malaysian, Malay and UMNO members were consciously giving advantages and making opportunities wide open for anyone to make use (as an inroad) of it as long as their wishes came true. If that needs for Ku Li to start the balls rolling, then so be it. Because the Rakyat and UMNO members want to be HEARD NOW. They dont want craps no more. They have been living on the same grubs all this while and years. They know whats the kind of grub those stubborn leaders will feed on to them and they clearly know the kind of foolish political cosmetically grub Zahid is holding up to them. Its time to FINISH UP the biscuit, NOT CHEWING THEM anymore.

MIC MEMBERS UNHAPPY WITH LEADERSHIP

KUALA LUMPUR: The crack in MIC seems to be widening by the week, as more branch chairmen and members are quitting the party.

Just weeks ago, two branch chairmen together with 250 of their members left the party, with half of them joining Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). It is learnt that many others are expected to quit MIC, retire from politics altogether or join other political parties. Former Kampung Sungai Dua branch chairman A. Balakrishnan was among those who left the party, resigning two weeks ago with 124 of his supporters. "I thought he (party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu) might leave after losing in the recent election but he is still there as the president." Balakrishnan said he had expected Samy Vellu to step down as president after his defeat in Sungai Siput. And when he did not do so, Balakrishan resigned instead. He said he was also not happy with Samy Vellu's attempt to bring back his former deputy, Datuk S. Subramaniam, into the higher ranks of the MIC again. "Let the members, not Samy Vellu, decide who they want as the next president." He said he had not joined any political parties as he still harboured hope of the MIC being able to function as before, minus Samy Vellu. "I hope to come back once he leaves. Until then, I will wait. After all, we don't really need a party to serve the people." Balakrishnan is not alone. Several other branch and division chairmen have "finally found the courage" to speak up against Samy Vellu who has been heading the party for almost three decades. MIC members are now asking Samy Vellu to accept the responsibility of the party's dismal performance in the general election and resign. Local Tamil dailies are also filled with calls from MIC members asking Samy Vellu to step down and to allow a new person to lead the party. Also joining the exodus from MIC was former Taman Kinrara Section 3 branch chairman S. Murali. He and 133 members joined PKR last week. Murali said for years people and leaders like him were afraid of going against Samy Vellu but that changed after the Hindraf rally last year. "Since then, we have come to realise that Samy Vellu is not so invincible." Murali said it was increasingly difficult to organise programmes under the MIC banner as people on the ground were not supporting them and did not want to participate. "People don't like Samy Vellu and because of him, they don't like the party either." Murali said that like many others, he had hoped that Samy Vellu would give room for another person to lead as he has held the post for years. Murali added that he was forced to quit MIC and join another party as he saw no future for himself and the party. Asked if his move would render him as an opportunist, Murali said each politician must ensure his own political survival. Last month, a group of some 50 branch chairmen gathered to discuss MIC's dismal election performance and the party's future. At the meeting, many had openly asked for Samy Vellu to step down or risk losing party members, and that they would no longer tolerate the intimidation and his abrasive style of leadership. Petaling Jaya Selatan division chairman V. Subramaniam, also known as Barat Maniam, who was one of the three who chaired the meeting, said Samy Vellu had to graciously leave the party. Two years ago, a group of MIC members, in their dissatisfaction with the leadership of Samy Vellu, formed a new party called "Marumalarchi Indian Congress Baru" or MIC Baru. Led by businessman P. Gannapathy, the group had claimed to have the support of some 100,000 former MIC members. MIC central working committee member T. Mohan, when contacted, labelled those who had quit MIC, joined other parties or formed another party as disloyal. He labelled those who joined other parties as "opportunists" and claimed that they had left because they were offered positions, such as councillors. "If you are unhappy with the leadership and you are eligible, then stay and contest against him, not run away and join another party," he said. "People like Bharat Maniam and even Datuk S. Subramaniam are still party members and loyal to the party. "Even though they had a lot of differences with the party leadership, they never left to join another party."

It shall be a case of TOO MANY COOKS SPOILED THE SOUP and the NEVER ENDING STORY as far as MIC (the largest but sadly, not the only Indian party) is concerned. To many Malaysian Indians, the PROBLEM lies with MIC is not only the SO-CALLED, SO-PORTRAYED unfairness diversification of Malaysian Indian rights and interests in too many things, in too many areas by too many parties. But also about the failures of the people whom supposed to do something about it via this largest Indian-based party called MIC. Indian leaders seemed to share and have more and more HIGHLIGHTS on tv and other mainstream medias, highlighting so many issues from development to environment, with the like of Samy Vellu appearing about a dozen times a week. But when comes to the main agenda of promoting Indians, they seem totally lost and need (more than often) other community leaders to talk on the topic. To many Indians, it looks like, without this so-called OTHERS to talk on behalf, things will not happen. Even the Taipusam holiday needs Abdullah Badawi to tell the whole Indian, face on. And that too was somewhat a victory to Samy Vellu who claimed to be championing for Thaipusam to be made a National holiday (but he got Wilayah only). Sadly, he has been CHAMPIONING THE WRONG AGENDA. And yet still claiming to be doing enough about Indians to Indian community. One of the fact that is true and widely acknowledged is the progress of Indian community in Malaysia for the past 10-15 years, which compared to others, is slow and getting smaller in terms of its supposed given attentions. While Indian representatives in the government are growing ever since (not including this year Cabinet line-up), the voices heard within that block were getting smaller and smaller. Although being the THIRD LARGEST PARTY in Barisan Nasional (BN) sounds big and intimidating enough, the fact in having numerous other Indian represented parties within and outside BN made MIC the mockery in claiming to be the only voice of Indian community. What more, if one is to combine Indians within PPP, IPF, KEADILAN and DAP; it can easily out-numbered even the MCA in total. But as long as they (those Indians) remain outside the party which has the access to the government like MIC, the likelihood of getting ALL AGENDAS ALL DONE ALL RIGHT, is far from near. Its hurt to be treated in such ways by other majority controlling parties, but being the last in population percentages (by far) among the three main races in multi-races country like Malaysia, or perhaps anywhere in the world for that matter, has its own wicked price. What worsen it, that smaller entity left, is becoming even smaller and smaller, when the Indians started mushrooming themselves with too many Indian-based parties and organizations. Whenever they had problems within their society or group, they broke up that union by forming another and so on. At the end of the day, by doing so, they achieved absolutely NOTHING other than another Indian majority or based party and NGO. And it all back to square one. The blessing in disguise in MIC failing the Malaysia general election (PRU 12), was that the Indians are willing to UNITE AND LISTEN to each other NOW MORE THAN EVER. This is the right time for the Indians and MIC to accept and embrace each other. But since then, the majority of them wanted a new leader to lead MIC and Indians. Or in simple words, wanted SAMY VELLU TO GO. ( A problem-liked disease spread all over other BN's coalition members too). But to groom a leader to the height and intense of Samy Vellu is not an overnight thing. For any good he was or CROOK he did, Samy Vellu has established himself as the one-face famously known and well accepted by leaders of other communities or parties especially UMNO. Hence, i do think if MIC and Indians want to fight for their right rather than vanishes their angers; Sammy Vellu has to stay at least for another term. He may not be the best and only man for the Indians, but he certainly the best and only man bold-headed enough to be their voice, as for now. But of course Indians and MIC know better. Just hoping not to see another party born out of nowhere.

DONT REPEAT 1988 DEBACLE SAID AHMAD SHABERY

KUALA LUMPUR: The debacle that saw Umno being declared illegal in 1988 during the leadership of former prime minister and Umno president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should not be allowed to be repeated.

As such, Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek suggested that Dr Mahathir be careful when making public statements. "I feel it would be appropriate if Tun (Dr Mahathir) exercised more caution in making statements because we don't want the demise, destruction and de-registration of Umno that occurred during his leadership to be repeated," he said after attending the Information Ministry's monthly assembly for the first time at Wisma Radio in Angkasapuri here yesterday. Ahmad Shabery said during the former prime minister's leadership, many regulations were imposed, including a resolution that there should be no contest for the president and deputy president's posts. "There was no contest (for the president's and deputy president's posts) after 1987 but now he is saying it is undemocratic. The Malays have not forgotten all these things but maybe Dr Mahathir has forgotten. "I am sad to bring up these things but the openness in Pak Lah's era should not be taken advantage of." At one time, he said, Umno supreme council members couldn't even be challenged in their divisions. Division chiefs in Kelantan also couldn't be opposed when Dr Mahathir was the state Umno liaison head, he said. Ahmad Shabery added that the former Umno president had also reminded delegates at the Umno general assembly in 1997 that any criticism of the party and its leadership could only be made through party branches, divisions and the supreme council. "This is because if everyone starts criticising and condemning one another from outside the party, it will destroy the party. I worry if this happens, he (Dr Mahathir) will be the one considered to have destroyed Umno." On calls to convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to brainstorm Umno's dismal showing in the general election, he said Dr Mahathir should not conclude that grassroots members were angry. "We will see which branch wants to hold an EGM. Actually, there were no problems with the grassroots during the general election. "The kampung folk in the agriculture sector were very happy with the high prices of rubber and oil palm. Only people living in urban areas voted against us." He added that in the 1999 general election, the anger of the grassroots was aimed at Dr Mahathir's leadership. However, he did not step down. He said more Malay voters rejected Umno and Barisan Nasional in the 1999 general election compared with the March 8 elections. Ahmad Shabery also said he was disappointed with Dr Mahathir's comments as during his leadership, many Umno leaders were detained under the Internal Security Act as they were seen as threats to national security. In actual fact, they were threats to his leadership.

Why is that KEMENTERIAN PENERANGAN (Information Ministry) always, I SAID ALWAYS, becomes the KEMENTERIAN PENERANGAN for the sake and purpose of PROTECTING its Prime Minister (of his doings), both in WORDS and ACTIONS. It has been too long too many years and of too many MAKESHIFT HEROES put in charged of this ONE SECULAR SIDE MINDED ministry, yet with only one same ol' visible power-that-be and obvious mission, which is the POWER TO PROTECT the BOSS. In whatever way it may looks like, whatever face it may flashes on the tv screens; the scripts and screenplays are always the same. Its like shooting different scenes of different movies at different locations BUT with the same ol' title and tired genre. Ahmad Shabery may be honest enough in inviting BLOGGERS to come forward (surrendering themselves in a way) for his cute bunny-like conferencing etc. He may be bold enough (as the new kid on the govt block) to spell all the wrongdoings of the former and famous PM Tun Mahathir Mohamad. But his direction and directive (given by the boss) are CLEAR enough for everyone to see. He is DOING IT for his boss, although he may argue about the interpretations labeled by others; the fact cant be denied. And as much as he wanted to, talking about the bad and ugly of Tun Mahathir's era of secular-directive, power-chuckling administration; he is proving TO BE DOING EXACTLY THE SAME, albeit for a different boss in the like of PM Abdullah. Its good to know at last, what Tun Mahathir really looked like when Tun was in power, but (Shabery) to be dared to voice it out NOW, is a question of where and what Ahmad Shabery was then, when all the things he spoken of about Tun during Tun's era (and Ahmad Shabery's dyas too), happened? If such arrogance done against the wishes of many, against the very clear conscious of the Malays and UMNO members (and majority leaders), by one person Tun Mahathir Mohamad, THEN why afraid of voicing it out when it did happens. If there is anything to lose by then (of Ahmad Shabery), it was of only his position (jawatan) in UMNO, but he would subsequently then gained respects and supports from the Malays particularly UMNO members for such bravery acted against. Why not STAND UP AND SHOUT ABOUT IT then? WHY NOW, when things have passed, time has gone, Tun is no longer in control of UMNO and the government? Why be the HERO when the VILLAIN is already counting days and breathes? Where is the SINCERITY? Whats the CATCH? Is there much to LOSE then but so much to GAIN now?
Ahmad Shabery is only strengthening the fact that WHEN YOU ARE UP THERE AMONG THE ELITE IN UMNO (WHAT MORE WITH POSITION IN THE CABINET), THERES MUCH TO CONCERN ABOUT THE 'PERIUK NASI' (RICE BOWL) RATHER THAN THE PARTY MAIN OBJECTIVES AND THE MALAYS HOPES.
Ahmad Shabery should be more CONCERNED about Malay LOSING FAITH in UMNO rather than Tun Mahathir losing faith in PM Abdullah. And he can do himself a favor by searching the Rakyat grouses and complains on UMNO and its leadership especially PM Abdullah, before wasting time, commenting that the Rakyats are OKAY and not ANGRY.

CALLS FOR UMNO POLL TO GO ON AS SCHEDULED

KUALA LUMPUR: There were calls within Umno yesterday for the party's general assembly and elections to go on as scheduled and not be deferred till next year.

Puteri Umno chief Datuk Noraini Ahmad said although there was provision for a postponement, the elections should be held by this year.
In a statement faxed to newspapers, the deputy minister of human resources added that if at all the elections could not be held by August as originally scheduled, then it should take place by December the latest.
In Seremban, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan said the party elections should be carried out as scheduled as there were no strong reasons to postpone them.
"Personally, I think we should face the problem head-on instead of running away from it. There is no use postponing it because, even if we postpone it for five or six years, the problem will still be there and it might even escalate further," said Mohamad, who is an Umno supreme council member.
He said Umno members have to go back to basics and ask themselves what is more important, personal agenda or the agenda for the struggle of the Malays. "If they joined the party for the struggle of the Malays, then the party elections should go ahead. There is no need for a postponement. "If Umno members still love the party and regard the party as a base to fight for the rights and honour of the Malays, they should proceed with the party polls, even if it is so soon after the general election," Mohamad said after the Negri Sembilan state executive committee meeting.

It was the RIGHT CALL. For whatever the problems are; in practicing and doing DEMOCRACY as the course of action, shall laid the very fundamental aspect of common and sense back in tackling those problems. UMNO election and general assembly (as scheduled this year) MUST BE HELD without any interference and squabbling. To postpone it, is to deny the very right of each and all UMNO members, and to further escalates the ever-growing dissatisfactions among UMNO members, young and old. (For whatever the DISSATISFACTIONS and its truth may be). The then perception (if postponed) among the Rakyat will be even worst. The very meaning and sole intent of DEMOCRACY shall slowly but truly VANISHED, the very moment UMNO (the government ruling party) ceased to believe in the need and principle and logic to have the UMNO election, as planned, by end of this year.
MB Mohamad Hassan has said it RIGHT, LOUD AND CLEAR. And its CRYSTAL CLEAR too about UMNO should face the PROBLEM head-on instead of running away from it. And its CRYSTAL CLEAR too that MB Mohamad Hassan meant THE PROBLEM was THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LEADING THE PARTY,UMNO. And he meant TO FACE IT, PROVE IT AND NOT RUNNING AWAY FROM HAVING THE UMNO GENERAL ELECTION as scheduled.
MB Mohamad may be a small-fish among the UMNO's Supreme Council many type of bigger fishes; breathing in such polluted ocean. But his NUMBERS and ASSOCIATES whom shared the same desire and wishes are TOO MANY TOO POWERFUL and TOO SPIRITED to be over-looked. Not by PM Abdullah Badawi. Not by DPM Najib Tun Razak. Not even those power-mingling Cabinet or UMNO Supreme Council other members of YES-MEN.
As for Noraini, i reserved my comment. Shes among the first voicing out the support for the UMNO election to be postponed, ONLY LATER to retract it and made 360' turn, in agreement for the election to be as scheduled. I then realized, "Oh, shes from JOHOR...emm no wonder".
